Recording notes
00 · Baba Is You
Approach
Push the middle rock along the corridor and keep moving right until Baba reaches the flag.
Mechanics
BABA IS YOU chooses the controllable object. ROCK IS PUSH makes rocks movable, and touching the flag wins because FLAG IS WIN.
Attempts
One successful attempt. This introductory level is included in the fresh run.
Raw footage
2 min 25 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
01 · Where Do I Go?
Approach
Push IS out of WALL IS STOP to leave the lower room. Reassemble FLAG IS WIN upstairs, then reach the flag.
Mechanics
Rules change as soon as their words move. Without STOP, walls can be crossed. Keep the finished rule clear of the route to the goal.
Attempts
One successful attempt. I moved the entire lower wall rule out of the way while routing the words.
Raw footage
1 min 37 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
02 · Now What Is This?
Approach
Control the wall, push STOP out of FLAG IS STOP, and bring WIN down to replace it. Touch one of the now-winning flags.
Mechanics
YOU can apply to a wall as easily as to Baba. The same flag objects can change from obstacles into goals.
Attempts
One successful attempt. An input command was split during tool use; I checked the board and continued from that position.
Raw footage
1 min 21 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
03 · Out of Reach
Approach
Sacrifice one rock to clear a water tile at the exit. Replace PUSH with WIN in the rock rule, then return to touch the remaining rock.
Mechanics
SINK consumes both the water tile and an overlapping object. The visible flag need not be the final goal: another noun can become WIN.
Attempts
The first attempt pushed WIN against the bottom wall. I restarted and approached it from below using the open right-hand column. The failed attempt and restart remain in the recording.
Raw footage
2 min 57 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
04 · Still Out of Reach
Approach
Arrange three rocks in a row and push them into the skull enclosure. The leading rock displaces SKULL in SKULL IS DEFEAT while Baba remains outside. Then walk to the flag.
Mechanics
A chain of pushable objects extends the reach of a push. DEFEAT harms the controlled character, so ordinary rocks can cross the skull boundary.
Attempts
One successful attempt. I first checked the upper edge while looking for access to the fixed rules, then assembled the rock chain.
Raw footage
3 min 32 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
05 · Volcano
Approach
Shift BABA IS YOU left as a complete sentence to exit the chamber. Reuse IS and PUSH to form LAVA IS PUSH, then push a path through the river to the flag.
Mechanics
A hot hazard can also be pushable. With PUSH active, the lava moves away before Baba overlaps it, allowing MELT to remain in place.
Attempts
One successful attempt. The chamber exit and immovable rule blocks took substantial inspection; those idle thinking gaps are shortened.
Raw footage
4 min 56 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
06 · Off Limits
Approach
Break WALL IS STOP, then push WALL into the BABA IS YOU sentence as BABA moves aside. Move the controlled walls right three and down two to bring one into the flag.
Mechanics
A new noun can replace an old noun in a single push, transferring control immediately. When many objects are YOU, keep distant copies from disturbing the controlling sentence.
Attempts
One successful attempt. I paused after the control transfer to choose a wall movement that would leave WALL IS YOU intact.
Raw footage
2 min 16 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
07 · Grass Yard
Approach
Place FLAG above the IS in BABA IS YOU and WIN below it. Route the words around the visible enclosure; its walls have no STOP property.
Mechanics
One IS can serve two crossing rules. For a push route, check the square behind the word as carefully as the destination, especially near STOP grass.
Attempts
I misread dark grass tiles and tried two dead-end WIN routes. The recording retains the failed moves and all undo sequences. A closer grid inspection exposed the open column needed for the successful lower route.
Raw footage
8 min 4 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
01 · Icy Waters
Approach
Push SINK out of BABA IS YOU AND SINK. Move that spare word into the bottom jellyfish; both disappear, leaving an opening to the flag.
Mechanics
Text is an object and can be sacrificed to SINK. The blue patterned ground has no STOP rule here; the fixed blocking rule applies to WALL.
Attempts
An initial whole-sentence push was blocked by a wall. I then reached the exposed SINK word from above and detached it directly before making the opening.
Raw footage
3 min 38 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
02 · Turns
Approach
Give the star both SINK and PUSH, then push it into the skull. Reuse AND to extend BABA IS YOU into CRAB AND BABA IS YOU, and walk the outside crab to the flag.
Mechanics
AND can join properties or nouns. Once the star has removed the skull, its conjunction is free for the control rule. Store movable words with a usable route back out.
Attempts
The first exit route hit a wall and later inputs moved the wrong words. I restarted, checked intermediate positions, and completed the two-stage plan. The full failed attempt and restart remain visible.
Raw footage
7 min 38 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
03 · Affection
Approach
Replace PUSH in LOVE IS PUSH with MOVE from KEKE IS MOVE. Walk below the algae enclosure and wait for the moving heart to reach Baba.
Mechanics
MOVE advances on each turn, including Space waits. The heart keeps its vertical direction and crosses DEFEAT algae safely because it is not YOU.
Attempts
I first watched the heart from the side, then moved below its vertical route and waited. All gameplay waits remain; the automatic replay entered after completion is excluded.
Raw footage
2 min 52 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
04 · Pillar Yard
Approach
Line up two pillars and push the front one through the star boundary. Route PILLAR around the wall enclosure and replace BABA in BABA IS YOU, then move the pillar inside to the flag.
Mechanics
DEFEAT only threatens objects that are YOU. A push chain can deliver an ordinary object across a hazard; transferring control afterward lets that object act inside the enclosure.
Attempts
I checked the upper boundary while examining the fixed rules, then used the pillar chain and switched control. The exploratory moves are retained.
Raw footage
4 min 22 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
05 · Brick Wall
Approach
Use the BABA in BABA IS YOU as the top of a vertical BABA IS WIN. Move the spare IS up and left, then move WIN left and up beneath it.
Mechanics
An object that is both YOU and WIN wins immediately. A shared noun can begin two crossing rules, so reaching the enclosed flag is unnecessary.
Attempts
The recorded assembly worked without an undo or restart. The long planning pause is removed; all moves remain.
Raw footage
3 min 16 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
06 · Lock
Approach
Spend the two keys on the first two doors. Bring ROCK outside and form ROCK IS KEY to create a third key. Reuse that IS to restore KEY IS PUSH, then push the new key into the final door.
Mechanics
OPEN and SHUT remove one another. A noun transformation persists after its rule is broken, while PUSH needs an active rule. This lets one IS serve two successive purposes.
Attempts
A routing detour pushed PUSH to the bottom edge. I undid 17 moves, repositioned ROCK, and completed the transformation. The detour and every undo remain visible.
Raw footage
4 min 23 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
07 · Novice Locksmith
Approach
Share one IS between horizontal KEY IS OPEN and vertical KEY IS PUSH, then open the first door. Reuse the horizontal KEY noun to replace SHUT in DOOR IS SHUT. Push the resulting key aside and reach the flag.
Mechanics
Crossing rules can share their IS. A spare noun becomes useful again once its first rule has served its purpose, and changing a door into a key removes the door’s STOP property.
Attempts
The crossing-rule assembly and door transformation worked without an undo or restart. Every movement is preserved; only long inactive planning gaps are removed.
Raw footage
3 min 30 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
08 · Locked In
Approach
Replace STOP in WALL IS STOP with JELLY, removing JELLY from its own STOP rule. Walk through the transformed boundary, then build a vertical BABA IS WIN beneath BABA IS YOU.
Mechanics
Removing STOP alone would leave WALL IS DEFEAT dangerous. Changing the wall noun removes that hazard. Two adjacent IS words can be pushed as a chain while preserving BABA IS YOU.
Attempts
Some setup moves shifted the spare IS and STOP farther than intended; I continued from that position. No undo or restart was needed. The area-clear animation is retained.
Raw footage
3 min 7 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
09 · Changeless
Approach
Shift the upper ROCK IS ROCK sentence out from under the wall and break it. Rearrange the lower words into ROCK IS FLAG, then touch the restored flag.
Mechanics
I treated ROCK IS ROCK as an identity constraint and removed it before attempting a different transformation. The resulting ROCK IS FLAG successfully changed the object back into a winning flag.
Attempts
The planned rearrangement worked without an undo or restart. All moves are retained; inactive thinking time is removed.
Raw footage
2 min 59 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
10 · Two Doors
Approach
Add IS SHUT beside the fixed KEY noun. The key is already OPEN, so it disappears and clears the passage to FLAG IS WIN. Replace KEKE with DOOR in the control rule, then move the door onto the flag.
Mechanics
One object that is both OPEN and SHUT destroys itself. A blocked passage can be cleared by changing the obstructing object’s properties, and control can transfer by replacing a rule noun in one push.
Attempts
The planned sequence worked without an undo or restart. IS had to be placed before SHUT because the hedges restrict access to their final positions.
Raw footage
4 min 58 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
11 · Jelly Throne
Approach
Build JELLY IS BABA above the fixed BABA noun to create a controllable Baba beyond the wall. Use that Baba to move FLAG from FLAG IS STOP into the lower JELLY IS WIN sentence, then reach the flag.
Mechanics
A transformation into an already controlled noun creates another YOU object. FLAG IS FLAG visibly blocks FLAG IS JELLY. Multiple Baba objects move together, but walls can stop one while the other keeps moving.
Attempts
The first control shortcut was blocked by a wall, the flag passage jammed, and FLAG IS JELLY was rejected. I inspected the rules, found the Baba transformation, and recovered from a misplaced FLAG. All attempts remain; no restart was needed.
Raw footage
9 min 50 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
12 · Crab Storage
Approach
Give the pushable flag OPEN and use it to open the side room. Build BABA IS BABA, then push CRAB through the upper passage until CRAB IS WIN forms. Walk to the crab.
Mechanics
A noun’s identity rule blocks competing transformations. BABA IS BABA protects control when moving CRAB temporarily creates BABA IS CRAB. The flag substitutes for Baba as the object consumed by OPEN and SHUT.
Attempts
The full sequence worked without an undo or restart. I checked the identity rule before pushing CRAB through the transformation and defeat rows.
Raw footage
5 min 23 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
13 · Burglary
Approach
Give walls SHUT and the pushable star OPEN. Use the star to remove a wall tile, leave the room, and break KEY IS DEFEAT. Bring IS and WIN inside to make KEY IS WIN, then touch the key.
Mechanics
OPEN and SHUT work on walls as well as doors. An object can make an opening while Baba stays safe, and reaching outside rules can change a previously lethal object into the goal.
Attempts
The first setup trapped the star beneath the wall rule, so I restarted. I also corrected the IS and OPEN alignment after the KEY word blocked a push. The failed setup, restart, corrections, and successful route are all retained.
Raw footage
9 min 42 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 1 · Submerged Ruins
Approach
Turn the rock into a second Baba. Move one Baba into the flag chamber while the crabs are harmless, then use the other to shift the upper nouns and activate FLAG IS WIN.
Mechanics
ROCK IS BABA creates another controlled object. Walls can hold one Baba still while the other moves, letting an object pass a future hazard before its DEFEAT rule becomes active.
Attempts
The first rule shift made the flag WIN but blocked access with DEFEAT crabs. I undid that push, built the second-Baba setup, and completed the staged solution. The initial attempt and undo remain.
Raw footage
6 min 52 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 2 · Sunken Temple
Approach
Temporarily control the rock to extract it. Restore Baba, share an IS between BABA IS YOU and ROCK IS PUSH, and use the freed IS as a second crate. Push the rock through the crab, then transfer control to the rock inside the goal chamber.
Mechanics
Text can serve as a pushable object in a chain. Sharing rule words can free a crate without losing an essential property. Temporary control lets a trapped object move itself into a useful position.
Attempts
The first push made the flag WIN but the crab DEFEAT. I developed the extraction and crate route from that position, temporarily parking PUSH to clear the text route. All 243 inputs remain, with no restart or undo; long planning pauses are removed.
Raw footage
16 min 4 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
00 · Poem
Approach
Shift the IS stack down while preserving the lower rules. Move VIOLET aside and temporarily lift ROSE out. Insert a spare IS between ROSE and FLAG, then restore ROSE to create winning flags outside the wall.
Mechanics
Identical IS words can replace one another without breaking an active sentence. A shared noun can participate in both a transformation and a winning rule, creating reachable goals elsewhere.
Attempts
The spare IS initially went one square too far. I undid five moves and corrected its placement. Every move and undo is retained; the long planning pause is removed.
Raw footage
7 min 50 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
01 · Float
Approach
Shift BABA IS YOU left to make room below its noun. Route ROCK around the enclosure and replace BABA, then move the grounded rocks right to the flag.
Mechanics
FLOAT does not let Baba pass STOP walls. Transferring control to grounded rocks puts the controlled objects at the same height as the winning flag.
Attempts
I first tested upward movement against the wall, then used the control transfer. No undo or restart was needed; all moves remain.
Raw footage
4 min 59 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
02 · Warm River
Approach
Remove AND FLOAT from Baba and place it after WATER IS HOT. Walk grounded Baba beneath the floating hot water and floating skulls to the grounded flag.
Mechanics
HOT/MELT and DEFEAT interactions require matching height. Changing the hazard’s height can be more useful than changing Baba’s height, especially when the goal remains grounded.
Attempts
The rule transfer worked without an undo or restart. Every movement is retained, with inactive planning time removed.
Raw footage
4 min 44 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
03 · Bridge Building
Approach
Push the lower rock into the first water tile. Build ROCK IS YOU vertically using the YOU already in BABA IS YOU, walk the trapped upper rock out, and sink it into the second tile. Baba then crosses to the flag.
Mechanics
A controlled object can leave a corner that makes it impossible to push. Two YOU rules allow Baba to stay safe while the rock moves into the water; walls block their movement independently. Floating text cannot sink grounded water.
Attempts
I initially tried to get above the upper rock, but a hedge blocked the needed square. The control rule solved that obstruction. All blocked moves remain; no undo or restart was used.
Raw footage
6 min 2 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
04 · Bridge Building?
Approach
Break ROCK IS PUSH, then push the spare PUSH and IS words into adjacent water tiles. Cross the resulting gap to the flag.
Mechanics
ROCK IS FLOAT keeps the rocks above the water, so they cannot sink it. Text has no FLOAT rule in this version and can be sacrificed instead. BABA IS YOU remains intact throughout.
Attempts
My initial route pushed a rock down and displaced PUSH. I recovered the word from its new position and completed the crossing. No undo or restart was needed; the extra movements remain in the recording.
Raw footage
1 min 42 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
05 · Victory Spring
Approach
Use the cogs to clear the side water tiles. Push TEXT IS FLOAT as one intact sentence across the spring; its front word pushes WIN out onto dry ground. Move WIN below BABA, break the floating sentence, and reuse its IS to form BABA IS WIN.
Mechanics
Moving a whole sentence can preserve its rule while its words act as a long pushing chain. The central water tile was hidden beneath WIN. Removing TEXT IS FLOAT too early sinks both that word and its water tile.
Attempts
Two crossings failed, and an early attempt to reuse FLOAT destroyed WIN. Both deaths and the full undo sequence are retained. I also tested the top boundary before finding the intact-sentence approach; no restart was used.
Raw footage
7 min 26 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
06 · Assembly Team
Approach
Push BABA against the left wall to stagger the robots, then move it up to the top-left corner. Align the robots side by side and sacrifice the leading one to open the top water tile. Bring IS and YOU back across that opening to complete BABA IS YOU; Baba reaches the flag.
Mechanics
A word blocked by a wall can stop one controlled object while another keeps moving. This creates the offset needed to sacrifice only one robot. The rule can be assembled on the noun’s side of the river rather than carrying the noun across.
Attempts
The planned offset and word return worked without an undo or restart. The deliberate blocked movements used to align the robots are retained.
Raw footage
3 min 35 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
07 · Catch the Thief!
Approach
Move Baba’s control sentence below the thief’s route. Stop the robot inside the left pocket and make ROBOT IS YOU share YOU with BABA IS YOU. Use both characters to bring WIN out, then keep the robot controlled while assembling BABA IS WIN. The robot touches Baba to finish.
Mechanics
A MOVE object can push a control word away. Sharing YOU allows two characters to cooperate, and the winning object can be different from the controlled object. The isolated pipe pieces block several tempting routes around WIN.
Attempts
The recording keeps the stolen control word, a fatal skull step, three restarts, and the undo sequences used to recover rule routing and an overshot WIN push. Inert waits did not create distinct undo states, which also caused a rollback farther than expected. The Area Clear animation is retained.
Raw footage
14 min 31 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
08 · Tiny Pond
Approach
Control the flag temporarily and use the same IS for KEY IS BABA, creating a second Baba. Restore BABA IS YOU AND OPEN, sacrifice one Baba to open the inner water tile, and retrieve WIN with the survivor. Slide the control sentence upward, remove OPEN, and insert WIN.
Mechanics
A perpendicular transformation can create another copy of the original player while a different noun remains controlled. OPEN and SHUT destroy both participants, so an extra controlled object is needed. The pond’s narrow entrance makes the standing square behind WIN crucial.
Attempts
The first route trapped WIN in the corner. A direct OPEN test destroyed Baba, followed by a restart. One undo repaired a control-word push during the flag phase. All experiments, blocked moves, and the successful two-Baba route remain.
Raw footage
16 min 56 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
09 · Research Facility
Approach
Stage the bolt facing away from the dangerous corridor, then activate MOVE. Push DEFEAT into the skull rule before the bolt reaches the hot skull. The bolt’s pushing chain removes SKULL from that rule, opening the lower route. Retrieve WIN, make BOLT IS WIN, and touch the bolt.
Mechanics
A wall reversal buys time for a remotely moving object. The bolt is MELT, so HOT must be removed before it reaches a skull. A non-YOU mover can then pass DEFEAT and push a rule that Baba cannot safely reach.
Attempts
The first bolt route displaced PUSH and required rebuilding its rule. Later, an attempted WIN insertion shifted the whole sentence; I rerouted WIN above the property slot. All moves remain, with no undo or restart.
Raw footage
7 min 16 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
10 · Wireless Connection
Approach
Send the cog across the bog and stop it beyond the upper rule slot. The robot delivers AND against that stopper and returns. Reuse the cog-rule words in a three-word train; the far wall stops the train with IS between ROCK and WIN. Touch the local flag once FLAG AND ROCK IS WIN is complete.
Mechanics
A remotely positioned STOP object can set the destination of a pushed word. A fixed wall can do the same for a longer word train. FLAG IS FLAG blocks transformations but does not prevent FLAG from gaining WIN through an AND sentence.
Attempts
Several routes displaced spare words and required rearranging the local rules. The cog was stopped at its intended position, and both deliveries succeeded. No undo or restart was used; every extra move remains.
Raw footage
14 min 24 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
11 · Prison
Approach
Make Keke pushable and park it above the wall-rule column. Remove PUSH, slide the column upward so WALL overlaps Keke, and transfer control to Keke. From inside that word, push IS and STOP down to break the rule. Reuse IS and the outside WIN word to make BABA IS WIN, then touch Baba.
Mechanics
An object without PUSH can share a cell with a text word. Giving that object YOU lets it move from inside a sentence, pushing a word that was otherwise inaccessible. Once WALL IS STOP breaks, the prison boundary can be crossed.
Attempts
Direct wall-rule pushes and pushing Keke against the wall failed. A control-word routing mistake led to one restart. The successful overlap setup and all earlier attempts are retained; no undo was used.
Raw footage
13 min 14 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 5 · Dungeon
Approach
Use KEKE IS BABA to create a second Baba. The stepped wall lets one Baba wait above WALL IS STOP while the other pushes the column upward over it. Move down from inside WALL to break the sentence. Retrieve IS and WIN and form BABA IS WIN.
Mechanics
Multiple YOU objects can be positioned independently when different walls block them. One can hold still while another pushes text onto it, giving access from inside a rule without needing PUSH.
Attempts
The first alignment pushed the wall column downward and merged the Babas. Nine undos restored the setup, and a left sidestep kept the lower Baba clear of the column. All movement and the corrected solution are retained; no restart was used.
Raw footage
7 min 25 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 4 · Dim Signal
Approach
Send a stopping cog across the bog to park the first AND. Send two spare words as spacers, then deliver the second AND against them. Finally, let the robot push the complete ROBOT IS MOVE sentence, plus a final spacer, into the last row. The moving sentence stays active until its IS completes FLAG AND ROCK AND ICE IS WIN.
Mechanics
A mover can push the very sentence that grants it MOVE. An intact sentence keeps working as it slides. Remote stoppers and word spacers determine where each delivery ends. FLAG IS FLAG still allows FLAG IS WIN.
Attempts
Several routing errors required rearranging the words again. I pushed the robot against the top edge and used 14 undos to recover, then stepped into the bog and undid that death. No restart; every input, failed route, wait, and undo remains in the video.
Raw footage
19 min 53 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 2 · …Bridges?
Approach
Control both floating rocks and line them up one tile apart. Cross below the flag rule, then push its IS and WIN back across the river. Bring those words to the original ROCK noun so horizontal ROCK IS WIN crosses vertical ROCK IS YOU.
Mechanics
Floating text can be carried across SINK water. A noun can anchor two perpendicular sentences, letting the same rocks be YOU and WIN without needing an AND.
Attempts
My first plan tried to turn the rocks into grounded Babas, but the hedge boxed in the required rule. I restarted once. During the successful attempt, WIN was pushed too far down and recovered from below. All inputs and both attempts are preserved.
Raw footage
9 min 23 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 1 · Boiling River
Approach
Add AND YOU to the existing BABA IS MELT sentence at the bottom. That frees the IS from the original control rule. Use it with the fixed WATER noun and the spare FLOAT word to make WATER IS FLOAT, then cross to the flag as grounded Baba.
Mechanics
One YOU can finish two rules, allowing the original rule to be dismantled safely. WATER IS WATER prevents transformations but still permits FLOAT. Floating HOT water and DEFEAT skulls do not interact with grounded Baba.
Attempts
An early route pushed the control column to the top edge and then displaced YOU. Fourteen undos restored the setup. The completed route retains those errors and the recovery; no restart was used.
Raw footage
5 min 1 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
01 · Fragility
Approach
Remove WEAK from Baba. Make SKULL IS WEAK and push a rock through two skulls to open a passage. Reuse the same IS and WEAK beneath the lower ROCK noun, keeping ROCK IS PUSH active. Push the exit rock against a wall so it breaks, then reach the flag.
Mechanics
A weak object breaks on overlap; a weak pushable object also breaks when its push is blocked. One noun can anchor perpendicular property rules when the original property cannot be replaced.
Attempts
Walking straight into the hedge destroyed weak Baba, recovered with one undo. Later, replacing PUSH was blocked by the wall above it, so I built the second rule instead. All failed pushes, routing corrections, and the successful exit are retained; no restart.
Raw footage
7 min 37 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
02 · Tunnel Vision
Approach
Let moving Baba sink and leave a rock through BABA HAS ROCK. Reuse HAS and ROCK beneath the fixed ROCK noun to make ROCK HAS ROCK. Push the rock through the water: every sink opens a tile and creates a replacement rock, letting Keke follow to the flag.
Mechanics
HAS creates the named object when its owner is destroyed. ROCK HAS ROCK makes a renewable pushable object, while each SINK water tile is consumed only once.
Attempts
The setup and crossing worked without an undo or restart. The recording retains all waits while Baba moved, the complete word-routing sequence, and every push across the water.
Raw footage
6 min 6 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
03 · A Present for You
Approach
Transfer control to the box, cross the hot water, and break LOVE IS MELT outside. Restore heart control and BOX IS PUSH. Position the box in hot water before adding a perpendicular BOX IS MELT sentence; BOX HAS FLAG then releases the flag for the heart to reach.
Mechanics
A controlled box can cross HOT water while it lacks MELT. Removing the heart’s MELT makes the same crossing safe for it. HAS turns destruction into a way to create the goal, and a shared noun can keep PUSH active while adding MELT.
Attempts
The controlled box pushed spare words during its excursion, so I retrieved and rearranged them. The PUSH column was shifted temporarily to make room for the final box push, then restored. Every movement and correction is retained; no undo or restart.
Raw footage
11 min 13 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
04 · Unreachable Shores
Approach
Turn the box into a second Keke. Sacrifice one Keke to open the word chamber, then use its BOX word to prepare KEKE IS BOX. A single push forms that transformation and BOX IS YOU together. Reuse HAS and the second BOX for BOX HAS BOX, then cross the river as a continuously replaced box.
Mechanics
Transformation can create another controllable character without triggering HAS. Identical IS words can replace one another without breaking control. A noun replacement can simultaneously form a new control rule and a transformation.
Attempts
The staged transformations, chamber entry, and self-replacing crossing worked without an undo or restart. The sacrificed Keke, every rule movement, and all water crossings remain in the recording.
Raw footage
9 min 17 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
05 · But Where’s the Key
Approach
Build a chain of controlled replacements: Baba breaks on rubble and leaves a box; the weak box leaves a key. Before opening the door, arrange KEY HAS BOX and keep BOX IS YOU active so the destroyed key leaves a playable box inside the room.
Mechanics
HAS takes effect when an object is destroyed. A noun pushed out of one sentence can complete another in the same move, changing control and WEAK together. The rubble ring has an empty center, so the handoff must happen on an actual rubble tile.
Attempts
The first box-to-key handoff failed because the box stood in the empty center of the rubble ring. One undo restored it; moving the setup down one tile made the replacement work. All word routing, the failed handoff, and the final extra step to the flag are retained.
Raw footage
19 min 16 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
06 · Love Is Out There
Approach
Build BOX HAS KEY AND BOX across the top row. Share its first BOX with IS PUSH and its last BOX with IS WEAK. Break the box against the first door, then move IS and PUSH underneath KEY. Push the generated keys through both doors; the replacement box supplies another key when Baba overlaps it. Restore LOVE IS WIN and touch the heart.
Mechanics
HAS can produce two objects with AND, including another copy of its owner. A weak box can therefore leave both a key and a replacement box. Sharing nouns between perpendicular rules makes the compact top-row layout possible, and the pushable property can be transferred to the generated keys.
Attempts
Several word-routing errors required 41 undos, including an IS stranded at the bottom, a PUSH collision, and pushing the box toward the wrong wall. The final approach displaced IS from LOVE IS WIN; I recovered it without restarting. Every failed move and correction remains, followed by the third-flower area-clear animation.
Raw footage
11 min 1 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
07 · Perilous Gang
Approach
Line up two ghosts with IS and PUSH on adjacent rows. Activate GHOST IS MOVE and stop it when the payloads form SKULL IS PUSH beneath the remote SKULL noun. Push through the barrier, break SKULL IS DEFEAT, and remove PUSH from the skulls. Retrieve WIN and make GHOST IS WIN, then touch a carrier.
Mechanics
Two synchronized movers can deliver a vertical rule across a lethal barrier while the player stays behind. A dangerous object becomes safely pushable when it also has PUSH. Removing a mover rule can allow one final step, which must be included in delivery timing.
Attempts
Two restarts retain the initial direction experiment and a word-routing error. A later attempt moved PUSH too early, leaving the second ghost behind; I restored PUSH, aligned the carrier, and recovered without another restart. A brief reactivation of MOVE during the final WIN placement advanced the ghosts one extra tile, so the final approach needed one more step.
Raw footage
12 min 18 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
08 · Double Moat
Approach
Stage Keke facing the door. KEKE IS MOVE carries it across the first moat, and KEKE HAS BABA leaves a second controlled Baba when the door consumes Keke. Keep that Baba safe while reversing the contents to BABA HAS KEKE. Send it into the second moat, let the resulting moving Keke reach dry land, then replace BABA with KEKE in the control sentence and reach the flag.
Mechanics
DEFEAT affects controlled characters; an autonomous mover can cross it. HAS transfers an object across destruction by a door or hazard. With two YOU objects, wall positions and horizontal separation determine which word-routing moves are safe. Remove HAS from the control-noun swap path to avoid a gap in control.
Attempts
The first launch pushed the BABA word apart, so I moved the whole rule assembly below the travel lane. Another rollback widened the spacing between the two Babas. All 34 undos and failed moves remain. A small planner, built only from the observed board, checked the final shared-movement routes against walls, words, and lethal water; no restart.
Raw footage
21 min 14 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
09 · Walls of Gold
Approach
Push the lower sentence right to make WALL IS ROCK and escape. Place one rock above the ice enclosure, then prepare perpendicular ROCK IS WALL and ROCK IS BABA rules that activate together. The rocks become overlapping walls and controlled Babas. Two upper Babas move the spare IS into WALL IS WIN while another Baba stays inside a corner wall.
Mechanics
Two simultaneous noun transformations create both named objects on each original tile. A controlled character already overlapping a STOP object can remain there when adjacent walls block its movement. Keeping the final sequence to right and down preserves the overlap needed for WIN.
Attempts
No undo or restart. I opened a second passage in the rock ring to retrieve WIN, then staged every word before transforming. The final sequence was two rights, down, two rights. A local single-object routing tool avoided moving unrelated words and kept the transformation trigger cell forbidden until the setup was ready.
Raw footage
18 min 21 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 1 · Further Fields
Approach
Stage three right-facing Babas to carry three rows. The upper row keeps KEKE IS PUSH active; the middle carries BABA IS MOVE itself; the lower pushes Keke and YOU. Move YOU out of alignment before crossing, then wait while Keke is transported without being controlled. The far-side obstacles stop the rows at different positions and restore KEKE IS YOU. Walk down to the flag.
Mechanics
An autonomous mover can carry the complete sentence that grants MOVE. A pushable character can cross DEFEAT while YOU is temporarily inactive, and autonomous moves continue during waits. Different fixed stopping positions can align a control sentence after a crossing.
Attempts
No undo or restart. One Baba initially reached the left edge facing outward; a brief MOVE pulse let it bounce back before I restored PUSH and staged it. All repositioning and the ten waits during the uncontrolled crossing remain. The final alignment restored control at the predicted safe position.
Raw footage
16 min 0 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
01 · Renovating
Approach
Replace SHIFT with PUSH and extract one belt from the bridge. Push it under the dangerous gate, then restore SHIFT to move the wall off that tile. Alternate PUSH and SHIFT to advance the same belt twice more, moving the blocking wall far enough aside to leave a passage. Disable SHIFT before crossing and walk around the relocated wall to the flag.
Mechanics
SHIFT moves objects standing on a conveyor even when those objects are not pushable. DEFEAT affects the controlled character, so a pushable belt can safely overlap the dangerous wall. Turn off the conveyor before walking over it if its direction would carry YOU into a hazard.
Attempts
No undo or restart. The bridge belts were pushed into the upper pocket so one could be extracted from above. Three wall shifts opened the route, and the final crossing used the inactive belt. All positioning, property swaps, and waits remain.
Raw footage
8 min 41 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
02 · Toolshed
Approach
Bring SHUT and IS inside to make the walls shut. Give the key both PUSH and OPEN, then spend it on the floor beneath the trapped PUSH word. Use that word to make WALL IS PUSH, open the enclosure around WIN, and bring WIN back to a sentence sharing BABA with the control rule.
Mechanics
SHUT by itself does not block movement. A key can remove one shut wall and expose an otherwise trapped rule word. Once walls are pushable, whole columns can be shifted to open passages, but those walls can also push text and accidentally break a rule.
Attempts
One undo, no restart. Placing IS beside BABA initially pushed a wall into the control noun and removed YOU; the following ineffective inputs remain. Undo restored control, then moving the wall column cleared the sentence. All 271 inputs, including the failed route and recovery, are preserved.
Raw footage
16 min 18 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
05 · Patrol
Approach
Transform both doors into trees and push the entrance tree into the skull corridor. Build TREE HAS TREE and TREE IS SINK, with PUSH removed, so each collision consumes a skull and leaves a replacement tree. Once the patrol is gone, remove SINK and walk through the harmless trees to the flag.
Mechanics
A pushable object can block a collision that SINK needs: removing PUSH lets the moving skulls overlap the trap. HAS recreates the tree after each destruction, turning one object into a renewable trap. Noun transformations persist after their sentence is dismantled.
Attempts
21 undos, no restart, 303 inputs. The first trap consumed only one skull; undo restored it while the self-replacement rule was prepared. Several word-routing mistakes and the waits for both trials remain. The observed-board routing tool helped recover the words near the entrance wall.
Raw footage
9 min 37 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
06 · Canyon
Approach
Borrow the belt rule’s IS and SHIFT to give Baba SHIFT. Walk onto the inactive belt to move it to the canyon exit, then push the hot ghost onto it. Rebuild BELT IS UP to orient the relocated belt and replace UP with SHIFT to lift the ghost into the open room. Push the ghost through the melting flowers and follow it to the flag.
Mechanics
A controlled character with SHIFT can move a non-pushable object by walking onto it. Moving the belt also changes its facing, so set its direction after positioning. UP fixes direction; it does not cause movement, and that facing persists after UP is removed. Floating text does not get carried by grounded Baba’s SHIFT.
Attempts
One restart, no undo, 404 inputs. Early attempts tried inaccessible routes and tested floating text against a hedge. Later routing mistakes pushed UP against the right wall; moving the belt sentence beside that stranded word recovered the setup. Every route, failed move, reset, and direction test remains.
Raw footage
19 min 30 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
08 · Victory in the Open
Approach
Use short MOVE runs and temporary RIGHT or UP rules to steer Keke around the right chamber. Wall bounces turn those directions into leftward and downward travel. Push WIN down into the lower passage, circle Keke behind it, and send the word left through the flowers. Build KEKE IS WIN and touch the returned courier.
Mechanics
Direction properties set facing, which persists after the rule is removed. Remove the forced direction before relying on a wall bounce. MOVE starts on the following input and breaking it permits one final step, so the stopping move belongs in the count. An uncontrolled courier crosses DEFEAT safely.
Attempts
One restart and one undo, 282 inputs. An early routing error pushed the wrong words and led Baba into a flower. The rebuilt setup used verified stopping points beside WIN and at each turn. All steering, waits, the failed setup, and the final delivery remain.
Raw footage
11 min 14 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
01 · Hop
Approach
Teleport the PUSH word across the river and replace TELE with it. Push the right heart onto the water tile above the flag. Rebuild LOVE IS TELE for one activation, moving that water tile onto the distant heart, then break the rule. Walk through the newly dry gap to the flag.
Mechanics
TELE transports other objects overlapping a teleporter, including hazardous water. Turning TELE off after the transfer preserves the new arrangement. A transported word can block the destination and be pushed aside when Baba arrives, so check the landing position.
Attempts
One restart and two undos, 114 inputs. The first route stranded PUSH near the river. Later, accidentally stepping back onto a heart returned Baba to the wrong side and caused a death. An incomplete rule restoration caused another failed crossing; the successful attempt visibly moved the water away before entering the gap. All attempts remain.
Raw footage
8 min 7 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
03 · Rocky Road
Approach
Push the left heart under the PUSH slot, displacing the word and turning that property off. Send PUSH through the hearts and teleport Baba to the far side. The word now alternates between hearts, so wait between pushes to guide the hot heart through the water. Push the word off the heart to stop the cycle, teleport back to the opened entrance, and walk to the flag.
Mechanics
TELE exchanges overlapping words every input. Aligning a teleporter with a rule slot makes a property turn on and off on alternate turns. Waiting lets the next push occur while PUSH is active. HOT removes the water before Baba follows the heart into its former tile.
Attempts
One restart, no undo, 48 inputs. The initial attempt pushed a heart into the rock barrier; the exchanged rocks left a lethal tile behind and Baba died. The successful attempt used the alternating rule and cleared two water tiles so PUSH could be removed sideways without blocking the flag corridor. All moves and waits remain.
Raw footage
7 min 3 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
04 · Telephone
Approach
Use the ice teleporters to move the lower Baba into the key chamber, then replace ICE IS TELE with BABA IS TELE. Align the two controlled Babas so the lower one carries the key onto the upper one. Step away to leave it there, restore KEY IS PUSH, and push it through the door to the flag.
Mechanics
TELE moves other objects overlapping its subject. Giving it to YOU turns a controlled character into a movable teleporter. Both Babas obey every direction, so walls and backed-up words provide the unequal movement needed to align them.
Attempts
One undo, no restart, 104 inputs. An early word placement accidentally formed BABA IS ICE and removed control. After undoing, moving ICE out of the shared column allowed the intended rule. Routes came from a small planner using only a manually transcribed view of the board; every actual move remains.
Raw footage
9 min 11 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
05 · Haunt
Approach
Slide LEAF IS DEFEAT left to expose an empty cell beside the sentence. Make the ghosts pushable and place one in that cell. Restore TELE, then slide the sentence over the ghost to send its IS to the lower ghost. Restore PUSH at the right moment and deliver the spare IS between LOVE and WIN. Walk through the now harmless leaves to the heart.
Mechanics
A non-pushable teleporter can sit beneath text. Moving the sentence over it extracts a word that cannot be reached from above. Overlapping words exchange on every input, so include the route back to the property switch when choosing when to stop TELE.
Attempts
Two undos, no restart, 148 inputs. An early route displaced the ghost noun and the control sentence; the undos recovered them. The recording also retains an accidental entry into Telephone and the return to the map before Haunt. All word swaps, waits, and positioning moves remain.
Raw footage
14 min 22 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
10 · Not There
Approach
Share the IS in BABA IS YOU with a vertical FENCE IS NOT STOP sentence. Walk through the opened boundary and retrieve the outside IS and WIN. Place them beneath BABA to add BABA IS WIN while keeping control.
Mechanics
A negated property overrides its positive version: FENCE IS NOT STOP disables the fixed FENCE IS STOP rule. A noun can anchor two perpendicular sentences, preserving YOU while adding the winning property.
Attempts
No restart or undo, 105 inputs. One short positioning detour approached the fence noun from the wrong column before correcting it. All movements and the rule inspection remain.
Raw footage
3 min 5 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 2 · Even Less There
Approach
Open the fence with FENCE IS NOT STOP, sharing the IS in BABA IS YOU. Bring the outside WIN inside before closing the boundary. Move NOT above FENCE and put WIN below the shared IS, forming NOT FENCE IS WIN. Baba satisfies that subject while retaining YOU.
Mechanics
NOT before a property removes that property; NOT before a noun selects objects other than that noun. Sharing IS between perpendicular rules preserves control while changing which objects can win.
Attempts
Five undos, no restart, 129 inputs. Lifting NOT too close to BABA briefly formed NOT BABA IS YOU and changed control. After undoing, routing NOT through a farther-left column avoided the accidental sentence. All movements and recovery remain.
Raw footage
3 min 53 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
06 · Crate Square
Approach
Arrange all four crates in a horizontal pull chain between Baba and the flag. Push WIN left while pulling the entire chain: the same input takes the flag off its water tile and changes the bricks from HOT to DEFEAT. Pull the flag clear of the bricks, park the crates away from the approach row, and break AND PULL so Baba can touch the flag.
Mechanics
PULL propagates through a continuous chain. Combining that movement with a word push can rescue an object in the very input that changes its hazards. PULL also blocks direct entry, so remove it from the winning object before touching it. Crates behind a turn can follow into an unintended tile.
Attempts
Both recorded sessions are joined, preserving 218 inputs. The early rule shift melted the flag. Later gaps in the crate chain repeated that failure, and crates following Baba into the rule alcove trapped the exit. Undos recovered the flag and the approach. Blocked moves and changes of facing also appeared in undo history; all attempts remain.
Raw footage
14 min 37 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
11 · Supermarket
Approach
Use RIGHT to ferry BELT and IS across the conveyor and retrieve UP. Stage the rock below the upper rule and a spare direction word beside it as a stopper. Rebuild BELT IS UP at the left entrance, then ride the conveyor while the rock rises toward IS. The rock completes FLAG IS WIN after Baba has entered the enclosure.
Mechanics
Belts retain their facing after the direction rule breaks. SHIFT advances a carried object once per input, while a character walking with the belt can advance twice. That difference lets Baba enter before the rock turns the belts into walls. A word backed by a wall can hold the rock on the correct conveyor lane.
Attempts
All 214 inputs are retained. An early route displaced BELT, the retrieval overshot UP, and the first entrance setup sent UP along the wrong conveyor lane. Undos repaired those arrangements before the successful timed ascent.
Raw footage
14 min 31 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
07 · Ghost Friend
Approach
Make Baba PULL and the ghost MOVE. Pull the ghost into position facing right, then let it carry Baba across the passage on wait inputs while the upper flag stays still. Step away from the ghost, retrieve FLAG, and bring the word back below the working rules to complete FLAG IS WIN.
Mechanics
An autonomous moving object can pull a PULL object, including one that is also YOU. Wait inputs separate that movement from the other controlled object. A weak winning ghost breaks before contact can win, in either direction. The returning ghost eventually pushes MOVE out of its own rule and stops.
Attempts
All 297 inputs and three restarts remain. Failed approaches tried touching a winning ghost, making it move into Baba, and using BABA IS MOVE for independent travel. A supposed recess for parking the flag was blocked. The successful ghost ferry preserved the flag and allowed precise one-tile movement around the FLAG word.
Raw footage
22 min 36 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
08 · Ghost Guard
Approach
Use the rock to clear the foliage, then make LEAF both PUSH and TELE. Arrange PUSH on the left leaf so restoring the rule teleports Baba to the right with PUSH active. Push the right leaf under the key, then alternate pushes and waits to carry the key through the teleporter pair. Deliver it above the ghost and push the ghost into the key.
Mechanics
A pushable teleporter moves away when approached, so enter it in the same input that activates PUSH. Floating text stays on its leaf while grounded objects teleport. Move the leaf only while the key is on the other side; a wait resets that timing. OPEN removes the SHUT ghost, whose HAS rule releases the winning flag.
Attempts
Both recorded sessions are joined, preserving all 320 inputs and 54 undos. Earlier rock placement and a trapped PUSH rule were recovered with undo. The first session confirmed that floating text could not be teleported. The successful route uses the detour around the isolated hedge in the upper-right room.
Raw footage
26 min 20 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 1 · Jump
Approach
Use LOVE IS TELE to move a river tile onto the other heart. Switch back to PUSH and move the heart out of the dry opening, then bring both hearts and the movable rules to the left bank. Place one heart on the water above the flag. Use the PUSH word as a buffer to move the other heart off its water, teleport the flag’s blocking water away, and break TELE before it returns.
Mechanics
Teleporters carry water and text as well as Baba. Breaking TELE freezes the transported water in its current place. A chain of words can keep a rule active while being pushed across the river. A word in front of Baba can push a heart off a dangerous water tile while Baba stays one cell back on dry ground.
Attempts
All 385 inputs, two restarts, and 33 undos remain. Earlier attempts tested swapping PUSH and TELE through the hearts and timed transport of PUSH alongside the water. The successful attempt made a permanent river opening first, then used a buffered push and a one-input teleport to open the flag’s approach.
Raw footage
29 min 32 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
09 · Leaf Chamber
Approach
Prepare the key first: extract it with MOVE, carry it around the right side with PULL, and aim it downward in the central opening. Park it against the lower hedge. Then aim a leaf the same way and give it MOVE. It bounces upward, reaches the fungus, and pulls it down into the safe opening. Switch MOVE from the leaf to the key to open the fungus, then pull the leaf sideways and reach the released flag.
Mechanics
A moving object can pull a PULL object behind it. The lower hedge reverses a downward mover, allowing it to travel up through foliage while Baba stays outside. The key must be positioned before the fungus blocks the aiming square. OPEN removes the SHUT fungus, and FUNGUS HAS FLAG leaves the winning flag behind.
Attempts
All three recorded attempts are joined: 1,338 inputs, 17 undos, and two restarts remain. The first setup moved the fungus before preparing the key. Later mistakes included stepping into leaves, pushing spare words while crossing their rows, and overshooting rule positions. The successful attempt prepared the key first, then used a timed noun swap and a final sideways pull.
Raw footage
1 h 11 min 5 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
02 · Grand Stream
Approach
Temporarily made Keke pullable and dragged it sideways. Restored the key’s PULL rule and Keke’s MOVE rule, letting Keke reverse against the key and tow it across the river. Stopped Keke on the left bank, then pulled the key around the wall and into the box to release the flag.
Mechanics
Pulling changes a mover’s facing. Autonomous MOVE can tow a PULL object through water that defeats the player. OPEN and SHUT destroy the key and box; HAS releases the flag. SHUT alone did not prevent Baba from standing on the box.
Attempts
Three retained visits include unsuccessful word-extraction and lower-river routes, waits, undos and a restart. The final visit tested Keke’s movement axis, then switched between PULL and MOVE to complete the ferry. All original attempts are joined; only idle thinking gaps are removed.
Raw footage
42 min 7 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
11 · Catch
Approach
Switched between ROCK IS PUSH and NOT ROCK IS PUSH to clear selected pond tiles with the two rocks and push the remaining water aside. Brought NOT down the dry passage, then prefixed the lower clause before shifting it right to open the flag corridor.
Mechanics
NOT ROCK IS PUSH makes water and plants pushable while HEDGE IS NOT PUSH preserves the walls. Pushable water can be moved onto an inert rock to remove both. NOT BABA IS NOT YOU leaves Baba controlled while the obstructing sentence is moved.
Attempts
Three retained visits include insufficient rock routes, water and plant experiments, restarts, failed inputs and undos. The successful visit used displaced water to open a route for the second rock, then cleared the NOT delivery path. Every input is retained; only idle thinking gaps are removed.
Raw footage
51 min 1 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
A · Literacy
Approach
Brought the rock and TEXT into the lower chamber. Put TEXT below the final WALL in WALL IS WALL and used the rock as a buffer for one last upward push. WALL IS TEXT replaced the identity rule, turning the walls into words and opening a path to the flag.
Mechanics
Uncontrolled text and a pushable rock can enter a DEFEAT wall safely. The rock keeps Me off the wall during the final push. Replacing the identity rule allows WALL IS TEXT to transform the walls; FLAG IS WIN remains intact.
Attempts
All three visits are retained. Earlier TEXT IS YOU movement destroyed the winning rule, and a separate buffer experiment pushed the rock outside without freeing Me. The final visit rearranged the buffer to replace the identity rule, with a failed wall step and its undo preserved.
Raw footage
27 min 11 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
C · Fetching
Approach
Made KEKE IS BABA first, creating a second controlled Baba in the sealed chamber. Reused the words to make TEXT IS HOT and melt the ghost with a two-word buffer. Then TEXT IS WEAK let Baba destroy the skull rule and clear the passage. One Baba completed FLAG IS WIN; the other reached the flag.
Mechanics
A transformation persists after its rule is broken. Two YOU objects move together but can be positioned differently using walls. Hot text melts a MELT ghost; a buffer keeps the player off DEFEAT. Weak text can be destroyed against a wall, allowing the skull hazard rule to be removed safely.
Attempts
Both visits are retained. The first melted the ghost but stranded the KEKE word, then tested an irreversible WEAK-first setup. The successful return transformed Keke before sacrificing its noun. A route planner based on the observed board helped keep both Babas alive; every route was checked in the game, and a buffer-positioning undo is preserved.
Raw footage
29 min 40 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
E · Skeletal Door
Approach
Changed control to TEXT IS YOU, then used the right wall to align BABA IS PUSH through the same IS. Repositioned the cross-shaped rule and pushed Baba through the top skull. The PUSH word was destroyed, while the control rule stayed above the barrier. Shifted the remaining words against the left wall to restore BABA IS YOU, then walked to the flag.
Mechanics
DEFEAT affects YOU objects, so an uncontrolled, pushable Baba can cross the skulls. A controlled carrier word can be sacrificed after pushing Baba clear. Walls stop some words while others keep moving, allowing a shared IS to switch rules and restore control.
Attempts
One recorded visit. The first alignment pushed Baba too far upward; four undos restored it and a wider route avoided contact with YOU. All positioning moves, failed inputs, undos and the successful crossing are retained; only idle thinking gaps are removed.
Raw footage
10 min 43 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
B · Broken Playground
Approach
Aligned IS WIN in the upper room, created two boxes, and transported one through the water. Used wall stops to place it precisely before IS WIN while the other box restored Keke control. BOX IS TEXT created the winning rule. Then TEXT IS YOU and a wall-clamped KEKE IS BOX created a physical winning box; a final wall-assisted switch to BOX IS YOU completed the level.
Mechanics
Floating text does not teleport, so a physical box carries its future noun into the room. Transformations persist after their rule is broken. Walls can stop different parts of a controlled text arrangement, allowing a shared IS to create a box and then switch control to it. An object that is both YOU and WIN wins immediately.
Attempts
All five visits are retained. Earlier attempts tested text teleportation, created an upper word in the wrong position, and confirmed FLOAT does not bypass STOP walls. The final visit fixed the delivery position, tested a direct Keke-to-box transformation that lost control, and solved the return to BOX control with a staged text arrangement. Positioning mistakes, failed inputs and undos remain. During visit two the game closed and capture ended before 19 subsequent logged inputs (about six seconds). Those original input logs are retained, but no video exists for that interval; no replacement footage was fabricated.
Raw footage
50 min 15 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus. 19 missing-video inputs are excluded from this time.
Extra 6 · Evaporating River
Approach
Completed WATER IS SINK with the WATER word on the river. The word and that water tile disappeared, leaving a crossing while preserving IS and SINK. Reused them for COG IS SINK, brought the cog through the gap, and sank the leftmost skull. Baba could then push FLAG directly into FLAG IS WIN and return to the flag.
Mechanics
A rule can remove one of its own words when that word overlaps a newly active SINK object. The water gap remains after the rule breaks. A SINK cog removes a skull through overlap, but does not pass a STOP wall. Removing the skull nearest FLAG avoids the need for a long push buffer.
Attempts
All four visits are retained. Earlier attempts explored river crossings and word buffers, and tested a SINK cog against a blocked word. The final visit also tested a STOP wall, then solved the resource shortage by sacrificing WATER itself. A routing error and its undos are preserved, along with all other inputs and waits.
Raw footage
45 min 7 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
12 · Dead End
Approach
Placed the loose NOT before the fixed NOT PUSH to form BOX IS NOT NOT PUSH. With the boxes now pushable, the flag sank one into the outer water layer, aligned the second with that gap, and used it to remove the inner layer. The flag then walked to Me.
Mechanics
Two NOT modifiers cancel: the game interprets BOX IS NOT NOT PUSH as BOX IS PUSH. A pushed box and one SINK water tile disappear together, so two boxes can open a single path through two water layers while the flag remains controlled.
Attempts
All five visits are retained. Earlier attempts explored control through NOT FLAG IS YOU, sacrificed boxes into adjacent water tiles, and tested NOT BOX IS NOT PUSH without gaining box pushability. The final visit tested double negation on the property instead, confirmed BOX IS PUSH in the rules menu, and solved the crossing. Earlier mistakes and undos remain.
Raw footage
31 min 12 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
D · Scenic Pond
Approach
Used TEXT HAS BABA to turn a KEKE word sacrificed in the upper pond into a second Baba. Reversed the rule to BABA HAS TEXT, then sacrificed one Baba in the lower water. Its BABA word completed BABA IS FLOAT. The survivor crossed the upper pond and skull to form FLAG IS WIN, then moved FLOAT aside before touching the flag.
Mechanics
HAS can turn a destroyed word into a controlled object, then turn that object back into its noun. Sharing BABA between the HAS and YOU rules preserves control while changing the death result. FLOAT avoids ground-level SINK, but also prevents contact with a ground-level winning flag; push the lower rule down and move FLOAT sideways to return to the ground.
Attempts
All three visits are retained. Earlier visits tested TEXT IS YOU, created Keke from a sunk IS, and explored word duplication without a usable control transfer. The final visit first tried the lower-IS sacrifice, undid it, and used the upper word instead. A route-model error caused a lost Baba and was undone; a missing fence segment was corrected after live inspection. All mistakes, failed inputs and undos remain.
Raw footage
39 min 23 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 3 · Deep Pool
Approach
Created a second Baba by sinking KEKE under TEXT HAS BABA. Separated the two Babas at the fence corner, then pushed TEXT onto one trapped against the fence as BABA HAS TEXT became active. Its BABA word overlapped TEXT. Moved that stack above HAS BABA to form BABA HAS BABA while preserving BABA IS YOU. The survivor crossed the water and skull, assembled FLAG IS WIN, and returned to the flag.
Mechanics
A word can defeat Baba while simultaneously completing the rule that determines its contents. Overlapping BABA and TEXT can share a sentence position. Using the stack as the subject creates BABA HAS BABA and TEXT HAS BABA without BABA HAS TEXT, so defeated Baba reappears without leaving obstructing words. A fence corner separates simultaneous YOU objects.
Attempts
Both visits are retained. The first created two Babas but did not produce a usable self-containment rule. The final visit proved the word-crush interaction against the left wall, restarted because the stacked words were trapped there, and rebuilt beside the inner fence. Several positioning attempts preceded the successful separation and rule reversal. All recorded inputs, mistakes, waits and restarts remain.
Raw footage
40 min 8 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
13 · Factory
Approach
Moved the controlled boxes together, then restored BOX HAS KEY. Pushed loose text into the weak boxes to create controlled keys on the far side of the bugs. Used those keys to extend BUG IS DEFEAT with AND WEAK, opened a gap in the bug line, and crossed the five doors to reach the flag.
Mechanics
WEAK boxes release their HAS contents when text overlaps them. The new keys obey KEY IS YOU. With BUG IS DEFEAT AND WEAK, a key destroys a bug and survives the contact. Overlapping keys can open successive SHUT doors, consuming one key for each door.
Attempts
All eleven visits are retained, including the inspection-only fourth part. Earlier attempts tested wall collisions during HAS changes, bent noun lists, transformations and KEY HAS BOX without crossing the barrier. Text collisions later produced keys on the right, but the return route remained blocked. The final visit reused that setup and added WEAK to the bug rule. All mistakes, failed inputs, waits, restarts and undos remain.
Raw footage
1 h 42 min 30 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
14 · Tiny Pasture
Approach
Made the flags pushable and moved the upper flag into the stone corridor. Restored teleportation, then sent an upward-facing Keke through the upper flag. KEKE IS SHIFT moved the lower flag upward. Pushed WIN onto the upper teleporter, retrieved it below, and completed FLAG IS WIN before touching a flag.
Mechanics
The gray stones have no STOP rule and can be crossed. Switching PUSH between Keke and the flags allows their positions to be set. TELE carries objects and words between flags; SHIFT lets Keke move an overlapping flag in its facing direction. Raising the lower teleporter leaves room to recover the arriving WIN word.
Attempts
Completed in one visit without undo or restart. Several blocked moves and miscounted routes were corrected in place, and waits tested teleport timing. The successful setup moved both flags before sending WIN through. All failed inputs, positioning moves and waits remain.
Raw footage
11 min 27 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 2 · Skull House
Approach
Gave the same rock both BABA and KEY transformations, creating an extra Baba and a key. Made the key pushable and used it to open the door. Sent both Babas through, sacrificed one to remove a water tile, then guided the survivor through the gap to the flag.
Mechanics
Simultaneous ROCK IS BABA and ROCK IS KEY rules produce both objects from one rock. A pushable OPEN key opens the SHUT door and is consumed. WATER IS SINK consumes one Baba and one water tile, leaving a gap for the other Baba.
Attempts
The first branch turned the only rock into a key and opened the door, then recognized that one Baba could not cross the surrounding water. Seventeen undos restored the setup before the dual transformation. During later word routing, a temporary KEY IS YOU rule moved the key down one tile; its route was adjusted. All inputs, positioning mistakes and undos remain; there was no restart.
Raw footage
10 min 53 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
01 · Empty
Approach
Placed the loose IS and EMPTY below the fixed BELT word to form BELT IS EMPTY. The conveyors disappeared, leaving a clear route to the flag.
Mechanics
Using EMPTY as the transformation target removes the belts. The new vertical rule shares BELT with the fixed BELT IS SHIFT sentence; no belts remain to push Baba away from the flag.
Attempts
Solved on the first visit without undo, restart or death. The recording also retains a brief code inspection of the completed Skull House level and the navigation into Rocket Trip. All actual inputs remain.
Raw footage
5 min 29 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
02 · Lonely Flag
Approach
Used DOOR IS EMPTY to remove the doors, then reused IS and EMPTY beside the existing BABA IS YOU rule to form EMPTY IS BABA. This created Babas throughout the empty spaces, including inside the flag room. Moved down and left to reach the flag.
Mechanics
EMPTY can be the subject as well as the result of a transformation. EMPTY IS BABA creates Baba in unoccupied cells, and the new Babas obey BABA IS YOU. Their simultaneous movement can push rule words, so the direction chosen after activation matters.
Attempts
One visit, two undos and no restart. The first right move after creating the Babas broke the control rule; the following down input could not move them. Two undos returned to before activation. Reactivated the rule, then moved down and left to win. All failed inputs and the undo sequence remain.
Raw footage
5 min 27 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
03 · Babas Are You
Approach
Used ROCK IS EMPTY to remove the rock above the wall, letting EMPTY IS BABA create Babas there. Stopped the growing group, sent the upper Babas around the wall, and brought WIN back to complete ICE IS WIN. Moved a Baba onto the ice to finish.
Mechanics
ROCK IS NOT BABA prevents a direct rock-to-Baba transformation. Removing the rock makes room for EMPTY IS BABA to create a Baba instead. Empty starting spaces keep producing Babas as earlier ones move away. BABA IS STOP makes the Babas block one another, so the positions of several Babas matter when moving words.
Attempts
Completed in one visit without undo or restart. The growing group required changes to the EMPTY rule and several positioning corrections. The Babas pushed ICE and IS down against the wall, and pushed WIN left before lifting it into the rule. All inputs and incidental word shifts remain.
Raw footage
10 min 41 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
05 · Horror Story
Approach
Switched to EMPTY IS YOU and used empty spaces to move the rocket out of the entrance and reposition the control words. Held IS and YOU against the clouds while moving BABA back above them. With BABA IS YOU restored, walked through the open entrance to the flag.
Mechanics
EMPTY IS YOU can push objects and words from empty spaces, while an occupied source cell prevents that push. EMPTY control could not touch the winning flag directly. The clouds stopped selected words so the BABA control rule could be restored.
Attempts
Completed in one visit without undo or restart. Tested EMPTY control and its blocked pushes, then moved the rule above the cloud and used a down/up sequence to align BABA for the final switch. All actual inputs and positioning moves remain.
Raw footage
6 min 17 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
04 · Please Hold My Key
Approach
Used two loose words to bridge the key from its cloud pillar onto BABA IS YOU. Reused those words to complete KEY IS OPEN, then slid the intact control sentence beneath the key. Pushed the key across the moving text platform into the door and walked to the flag.
Mechanics
PUSH text supports the falling key; Baba without STOP does not. Moving all three words of BABA IS YOU together preserves control. Alternating a full-row push with a key push advances the key while keeping text directly below it.
Attempts
Completed in one visit with two undos and no restart. The support test let the key fall past Baba to the floor; two undos restored the staged words. Five verified bridge cycles then carried the key to the door. The failed fall, both undos and all positioning moves remain.
Raw footage
9 min 58 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
12 · Guardians
Approach
Pulled three ice tiles into a small platform. Used TEXT IS PULL with EMPTY IS PULL to bring WIN down the chute, then escaped onto the third ice tile and dismantled the pull rules. Reused IS and WIN for ICE IS WIN and touched an ice tile.
Mechanics
EMPTY IS PULL lets a pull travel through empty cells, but also blocks walking onto empty ground. Ice provides occupied footholds for repeated pulling and the exit. TEXT IS FLOAT prevents grounded Baba from winning by touching TEXT IS WIN; ICE IS WIN supplies a grounded goal.
Attempts
Completed in one visit with 273 undos and no restart. Long rollbacks recovered an early ice-platform setup and a misread empty column. TEXT IS WIN looked promising but did not produce a victory, so the final rule used ICE instead. All failed movements, positioning corrections and undos remain.
Raw footage
45 min 0 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
13 · Sky Hold
Approach
Made the box SHUT and empty cells OPEN, with EMPTY HAS KEY. Pushed the box into an empty cell to create a key. Restored DOOR IS SHUT, pushed the key through the door and walked to the flag.
Mechanics
OPEN and SHUT can interact with EMPTY, allowing EMPTY HAS KEY to produce an object. Simply occupying an empty cell did not release a key. The box was consumed in the collision. Fixed DOOR IS DOOR blocked the attempted DOOR IS EMPTY transformation.
Attempts
Completed in one visit without undo or restart. Tried ordinary occupation under EMPTY HAS KEY and a crossed-out DOOR IS EMPTY rule before setting up the OPEN/SHUT interaction. Miscounted routes and word misalignments were corrected in place. All actual inputs remain.
Raw footage
9 min 44 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
07 · Trio
Approach
Raised Keke onto a moving Me platform and sent both across the skull barrier. After they bounced left together, removed Me's PUSH so Keke fell into the inner chamber facing left. Keke pushed DEFEAT aside, opening Baba's route to the flag.
Mechanics
ME IS PUSH supports the falling Keke. Giving both Me and Keke MOVE keeps them aligned as they cross the barrier. Removing only PUSH lets Keke fall while continuing to move. His position and facing determine whether he reaches the word blocking the final route.
Attempts
Both visits are retained. Earlier tests failed to lift Keke without PUSH, trapped DEFEAT after shifting the guard, and sent the courier into a side pocket. Converting Keke to Me still left a cloud blocking the return. The first visit includes 38 undos and one restart; the successful second visit has neither. All inputs and waits remain.
Raw footage
38 min 15 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
06 · Aiming High
Approach
Give both Babas STOP while keeping the clouds solid. Catch the moon below the cloud edge, lift it to the ceiling to align the two Babas, then push and support it left together. Release it onto the star and make DUST IS WIN.
Mechanics
A STOP Baba supports the falling PUSH moon and can lift it from below. A second Baba must push horizontally while the support moves underneath. The ceiling aligns the pair; MOON IS OPEN destroys the SHUT star, and STAR HAS DUST leaves the winning object.
Attempts
All 314 inputs from three visits are retained, including two undos and no restarts. Earlier attempts tested dropping the moon and lifting it on a STOP Baba; moving that supporter sideways alone let the moon fall in its original column. The final visit kept CLOUD IS STOP intact and solved the transfer with a coordinated pair, without undo.
Raw footage
23 min 20 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
A · Rocky Prison
Approach
Disable SINK, make ALL IS YOU, and turn every object into water to free WIN from its wall enclosure. Move the water crowd to stage IS below ALL, bring WIN across one row lower, then lift it into ALL IS WIN.
Mechanics
ALL IS WATER transforms the skull and walls while leaving the words available to push. The controlled water can overlap and gather against boundaries; changing its shape allows one word to move while another stays put. ALL is shared by the YOU and WIN rules.
Attempts
Both recording parts retain all 159 inputs, with two undos and no restarts. One undo corrected an early overpush; another reversed an accidental ALL IS SKULL rule that removed control. The finish kept IS in place by moving WIN below it before the final upward push.
Raw footage
17 min 49 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
B · Siege
Approach
Grow a limited supply of PUSH rocks to remove water and open a crossing. Move MORE and a spare IS beneath BABA IS YOU to form BABA IS MORE, then keep moving right as the growing Babas advance across the opposing belt to the flag.
Mechanics
Growing rocks clears SINK water, but removing PUSH leaves the rocks hazardous because ROCK IS DEFEAT remains active. MORE creates additional Babas; repeated rightward movement lets their frontier advance against the leftward SHIFT belt without BABA IS PUSH.
Attempts
All 312 inputs from one attempt are retained, with 36 undos and no restart. An upper detour jammed BABA IS YOU against the wall and required 35 undos. A later wrong turn into water killed Baba and was undone once. Two short rightward checks confirmed growth across the belt before the final advance.
Raw footage
19 min 21 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
C · Elusive Condition
Approach
Use HAND IS ALL to lay a STAR trail across the upper row, then form ALL IS HAND. Maneuver the resulting crowd to bring HAND and IS above the fixed corner WIN, forming HAND IS WIN.
Mechanics
The full row of STOP hands blocks IS while DEFEAT moves, avoiding HAND IS DEFEAT. Crowd boundaries let words move different distances under shared controls. EMPTY IS WIN activates but does not win for the controlled hands; HAND IS WIN does.
Attempts
All 176 inputs across three chronological recording parts are retained, including the first conversion failure, the successful revisit, nine undos and no restarts. The lethal HAND IS DEFEAT test was undone; the later EMPTY IS WIN experiment and its seven-move reversal remain visible.
Raw footage
32 min 53 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
D · Treasury
Approach
Place the PUSH rock where it will block a key copy, then briefly activate KEY IS MORE. Switch to KEY IS PUSH, make the rock passable, and steer the outer key around the corner to open the door and reach the flag.
Mechanics
The rock leaves a deliberate gap in the growing keys so Baba can stand beside the key that must turn left. Breaking ROCK IS PUSH makes that tile accessible. An OPEN key removes the SHUT door when pushed into it.
Attempts
All 99 inputs from one recording are retained, including five undos of the first growth probe and four explicit waits during the successful growth. There were no restarts or deaths.
Raw footage
10 min 10 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
F · Lava Flood
Approach
Push the top IS onto the flag to protect its tile from growing lava. Cross the flood to break FLAG IS MELT, then return, restore FLAG IS WIN and touch the surviving flag.
Mechanics
Baba is HOT, so touching the MELT flag destroys it. A text tile blocks MORE from creating lava on the flag beneath it. Once MELT is disabled, the flag survives while Baba restores its winning rule.
Attempts
All 60 inputs from one recording are retained, including the direct approach that melted the flag and five undos restoring it. The shielded-flag route then won without a restart.
Raw footage
6 min 46 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 1 · Metacognition
Approach
Borrow IS from BABA IS WORD to form KEY IS BABA, creating two extra controlled Babas. Restore BABA IS WORD, use one Baba as the noun in BABA IS OPEN to remove the door, and send a survivor to the flag.
Mechanics
WORD lets a physical Baba participate in a rule. A Baba positioned above IS and OPEN becomes OPEN and can remove the SHUT door, but is consumed with it. Extra Babas preserve control after that sacrifice.
Attempts
Both chronological recordings retain all 202 inputs and 12 undos, with no restarts. The failed IS extraction and the test that opened the door but consumed the only Baba remain visible before the successful conversion and sacrifice.
Raw footage
13 min 13 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 3 · Broken
Approach
Place the inner rock over IS, then use the outer rock as the noun in ROCK IS TELE. Teleport the blocking text out of its rule, disable ROCK IS PUSH, and bring WIN into position to form ROCK IS WIN.
Mechanics
WORD lets a physical rock replace ICE in the teleport rule. Teleporting the IS beneath the other rock breaks TEXT IS NOT PUSH, making words movable again. Covering TEXT instead accidentally makes ROCK IS NOT PUSH.
Attempts
All 110 inputs from one recording are retained, including two undos correcting the first rock placement. A blocked final approach was corrected by coming from below. No deaths or restarts occurred.
Raw footage
7 min 13 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 2 · Multitool
Approach
Disable the hot rock, then use it as a WORD to form ROCK IS PUSH and KEKE IS ROCK. Leave one rock holding HOT and PUSH rules while pushing the other into the box, melting it to release the winning flag.
Mechanics
A rock can make one push out of its own PUSH rule; move IS and PUSH afterward to restore the rule at its new position. Converting Keke supplies a second rock, so one can serve as the shared noun while the other melts the box.
Attempts
All 343 inputs from one recording are retained, including the branch that trapped PUSH against the right boundary and all 56 undos used to recover. The corrected route won without a death or restart.
Raw footage
14 min 43 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
01 · Tour
Approach
Keep both Baba and Keke controlled, then build a transformation cycle. Alternate forms to carry FLAG and IS across the hazards and complete FLAG IS WIN.
Mechanics
BABA IS KEKE and KEKE IS BABA change the character every turn. Baba can cross the conditional fire; Keke can cross hot lava. Waits adjust the form before each crossing.
Attempts
298 inputs, one restart and ten undos. The first rule layout blocked the exit; a later FLAG push trapped the word against the bottom wall. Both mistakes and their recovery are retained. No deaths.
Raw footage
15 min 10 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
02 · Peril at Every Turn
Approach
Use PUSH as a buffer to free the KEKE word from its skull cage while keeping both Babas alive. Bring KEKE into the room and use the two Babas to push IS and YOU down together, transferring control to Keke.
Mechanics
FLAG ON KEKE IS WIN requires Keke at the flag. Walls hold one Baba in place while the other moves, allowing the pair to line up for the simultaneous rule change.
Attempts
381 inputs, seven undos and one restart. The first branch includes two Baba deaths, one undone and one deliberate sacrifice, followed by an unsuccessful attempt to push Keke to the flag. The successful branch keeps both Babas for the control transfer.
Raw footage
27 min 10 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
01 · Condition
Approach
Move the intact control rule out of the grass-ring entrance. Rearrange the condition into GRASS ON KEKE IS KEY, then use a key created beneath Keke to open the door and reach the flag.
Mechanics
Changing the order of the nouns makes grass under Keke transform into a key. Keke remains controlled, while the new key is PUSH and OPEN and can unlock the SHUT door.
Attempts
122 inputs, including travel from Volcanic Cavern to Flower Garden. The first grass crossing killed Keke and was undone once. The remaining attempt rearranged the conditional rule and won without restarting.
Raw footage
7 min 27 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
02 · Thicket
Approach
Control the flag and form FLAG MAKE MOON with MOON IS OPEN. Clear a path through the shut grass, replace DEFEAT with WIN for Baba, then retrace the cleared route to touch Baba.
Mechanics
The flag creates OPEN moons beneath itself, removing SHUT grass without consuming the flag. Moving WIN also makes the remaining grass DEFEAT, so the return trip follows the path already cleared.
Attempts
105 inputs, with no deaths, undos or restarts. The attempt rearranged the MAKE rule, cleared the route, changed the win condition and returned safely.
Raw footage
4 min 37 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
03 · Sorting Facility
Approach
Form BELT ON ROCK IS SHIFT while keeping ROCK IS PUSH. Send the rock along the conveyor, push it onto water to make a key, then bring the key back along the lower lane to unlock the door.
Mechanics
The conditional rule activates a belt only when a rock occupies it. ROCK ON WATER IS KEY converts the cargo; the resulting key can return across the belts without being shifted.
Attempts
205 inputs and nine undos, with no deaths or restarts. An early route pushed PUSH into a corner; later misrouting required a different approach from below. All failed moves and recovery are retained.
Raw footage
8 min 34 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
04 · Relaxing Spot
Approach
Form ROCK ON TEXT IS PUSH and carry the KEKE word on the rock across the belt. Sink the rock in the entrance water, then use the surviving word to push FLAG into IS WIN from a safe tile.
Mechanics
The belt shifts the rock off its floating word, temporarily removing PUSH so the word can catch up. Grounded rock sinks with water while floating text survives; the word also keeps Baba away from the water under FLAG.
Attempts
Three branches, two restarts and no undos. The first rock-only route cleared the entrance but Baba died pushing FLAG. Constant ROCK IS PUSH separated the second stack and jammed the belt. The conditional third route earned Area Clear and the seventh flower.
Raw footage
15 min 31 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
08 · Slideshow
Approach
Go around the open left end of the upper wall, cross above it, then descend around its right end and approach the flag. Keep track of positions relative to the board as it scrolls away.
Mechanics
LEVEL IS MOVE shifts the entire board downward each turn. The wall and dangerous rock positions stay fixed relative to Baba’s route, even after they leave the window; the dark offscreen interval is part of the solve.
Attempts
One attempt, with no deaths, undos or restarts. Garden exit and overworld navigation are retained, followed by the scrolling route and victory that opens overworld levels 09 and 10.
Raw footage
3 min 17 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
09 · Platformer
Approach
Carry Keke across the upper room on AND and a pushable rocket, using OPEN as a buffer to push from behind. Switch back to UFO IS PUSH so the staged UFO catches Keke near the door.
Mechanics
Alternate pushes of Keke and the two supports to keep FALL from dropping Keke. After the UFO catch, recover AND and OPEN to form KEKE IS FALL AND PUSH AND OPEN, then send Keke into the shut door and walk Baba to the flag.
Attempts
Both visits are retained, including the failed lower route, the UFO deactivation test, 11 undos and two restarts. The lower support train reached a wall, so the successful route carried Keke above it.
Raw footage
29 min 33 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
08 · Bottleneck
Approach
Stage the rocket beside the upward belt and two inert stars near the skull gate. Form EMPTY AND ROCKET IS PUSH to launch the rocket remotely, then cross the gate before its journey activates SKULL IS DEFEAT.
Mechanics
Push through empty cells toward occupied endpoints. The stars let Baba return and push the PUSH word out of the rule; the rocket keeps riding SHIFT after losing PUSH. Seven moves after launch put Baba past the skull as FLAG IS WIN becomes active.
Attempts
Both visits retain all 443 inputs, including three restarts and 14 waits. Early launches activated the skull too soon; disabling rocket PUSH did not stop the belt. The attempted extra-IS extraction was blocked by a cloud, and a stranded noun required a restart.
Raw footage
34 min 27 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 1 · Existential Crisis
Approach
Use EMPTY IS YOU to send the pushable rocket through the upper moon corridor and complete FLAG IS WIN. Keep Baba outside that trap, then ferry the pushable body through the lower entrance and moon barrier.
Mechanics
EMPTY can push only from an unoccupied source cell. Clouds and moons hold the body while the rules move; an inert star finally holds the noun pair while IS and YOU advance, restoring BABA IS YOU on the safe side of the moons.
Attempts
Both visits and all 62 undos are retained. The first visit trapped Baba in the upper shaft and exposed blocked push sources and stranded bottom-row words. The final visit corrected a displaced control column without undo and completed the rocket courier and star clamp without a restart.
Raw footage
35 min 24 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
10 · The Pit
Approach
Give the star FALL to send it below both skull rows, then switch it to PUSH. Give the moon FALL and use the controlled star as a platform to carry it up to the door.
Mechanics
The falling moon lands safely on the star. At the doorway, a cloud blocks the moon while the star enters the SINK door and removes it; the moon survives the fall and crosses to the flag.
Attempts
Both visits are retained: an unfinished moon-first descent and a star-first setup restarted after PUSH became stranded. The successful setup rescues PUSH before moving the rules. One restart, no undos; the final star sacrifice is intentional.
Raw footage
26 min 33 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
04 · Mouse Hole
Approach
Make the physical bat PUSH and send it into the corner key, keeping the BAT word free. Restore ROCK IS PUSH from inside the shaft, extract the rock, and line it up behind the BAT word and key.
Mechanics
Pushing the word into the SWAP key sends the key back onto the following rock. ROCK ON KEY IS FLAG creates the winning flag. Using the physical bat for the corner swap preserves the extra word needed for this final push.
Attempts
All three visits remain, including the trapped corner swap, text-stacking probe, failed direct rock–key swap and corrected word overpushes. Nine undos; no restarts or deaths.
Raw footage
28 min 6 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
08 · The Heist
Approach
Turn spare text on fire into a flag and teleport it downstairs. Turn that flag back into text to build FLAG IS OPEN, then consume the upper TEXT rule word to make a second physical flag. Push it through the teleporter and into the lava blocking the heart.
Mechanics
ON FIRE matches floating text over grounded fire. Converting text into a physical flag lets it use ICE IS TELE; converting it back supplies a FLAG word downstairs. The final FLAG IS PUSH and FLAG IS OPEN let the second flag remove the SHUT lava.
Attempts
The recording retains the mistaken scenery-as-flags assumption, the failed floating-word teleport test, routing corrections, 40 undos, two waits and one confirmed restart. No DEFEAT death was observed.
Raw footage
26 min 46 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
05 · Maritime Adventures
Approach
Placed four wall checkpoints and gave the hand MOVE continuously, with YOU only while ON WALL. Moved Baba to safety, then steered the hand through the switch and door to release the flag.
Mechanics
Leaving a wall removes YOU before the hand reaches DEFEAT lava, so MOVE carries it safely between checkpoints. YOU and MOVE give two steps when steering. The OPEN hand destroys the SHUT door; DOOR HAS FLAG leaves the winning flag for Baba.
Attempts
Both visits remain, including the initial shared-control experiment, navigation and word-routing mistakes, one restart, 101 undos and 36 waits. Some mistaken water-edge assumptions caused unnecessary rollbacks. No deaths observed.
Raw footage
55 min 42 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
07 · Blockade
Approach
Used the pillar and rock to clear two adjacent water tiles for pushing positions. Relocated ROCK IS PUSH to turn the second object, then delivered floating PILLAR and ON words above WATER IS SINK.
Mechanics
PILLAR ON WATER IS SINK replaces the bare water rule. With both physical objects already consumed, the remaining water is harmless. Floating text survives the water, and activating PUSH while the Moon overlaps the rock lets it step below for the upward push.
Attempts
All three visits remain: the failed conditional rock extraction, the route that cleared only one water tile, and the final corner mistake with 19 undos. No restarts or deaths observed.
Raw footage
33 min 3 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 1 · Coronation
Approach
Combine TEXT IS SWAP with ROCK IS PUSH, then stack the rock on the SWAP word and place WIN above it. Push upward to swap WIN beneath Keke and complete TEXT IS WIN in the same move.
Mechanics
Pushing winning text normally moves it away before contact. The final swap changes the rule while Keke overlaps WIN, producing the winning contact.
Attempts
Two visits retain the unsuccessful TEXT IS WIN and ROCK IS SWAP tests, the overlap experiments, and eight undos correcting a word-routing error. No restarts or deaths.
Raw footage
18 min 48 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
14 · Broken Expectations
Approach
Open the upper passage before changing the text rules. Use Baba’s SHIFT to overlap TEXT and IS, carry the stack into the lower recess, and form DOOR IS OPEN alongside TEXT IS SHUT. Activate FLAG IS WIN above, then push NOT into the door to reach the flag.
Mechanics
TEXT IS NOT PUSH lets SHIFT move one word onto another. Breaking that rule makes the overlapping words pushable together, so one cell can serve both crossing rules. A SHUT word opens the OPEN door.
Attempts
Three visits retain the blocked extractions, stacking experiments, 25 undos and one restart after building the lower rules before opening the upper route. No deaths.
Raw footage
38 min 29 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
04 · Baba Doesn’t Respond
Approach
Temporarily make BELT IS PUSH and arrange two belts to turn Baba down, then right into SHUT. Start Baba moving along the long lower row, cross the reed with Keke, and wait beyond it for Baba to open the door.
Mechanics
BABA IS MOVE supplies the delay; BELT IS SHIFT redirects Baba into the trigger. Moving SHUT makes the door both OPEN and SHUT, removing it, while also activating REED IS DEFEAT. Keke must cross the reed before that change.
Attempts
All ten visits remain, including inspection-only entries, failed short-shuttle timing, a reed death, and unsuccessful Baba-to-belt placements. The recording preserves 53 undo inputs and two restarts. The final visit uses no undo or restart.
Raw footage
1 h 17 min 4 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
10 · Lovely House
Approach
Transform the rock into both a key and a second Baba with ROCK IS KEY AND BABA. Restore KEY IS PUSH, open the door, and guide the two Babas so one sinks a water tile and the other crosses the gap to the flag.
Mechanics
The composite transformation creates two objects from one rock. The key opens the SHUT door; the extra Baba supplies the separate sacrifice needed for WATER IS SINK. A heart holds one Baba while the other enters the water.
Attempts
An initial word-routing error used 16 undos. A key-only approach opened the door but left no spare Baba for the water, so 91 more undos returned to the staged rock. All 107 undo inputs remain; there was no restart. The final water sacrifice is intentional.
Raw footage
12 min 2 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
08 · Jaywalkers United
Approach
Raise the entire FLAG ON ROCK IS ME rule so the moving Kekes shift all five words left together. Escape along the bottom, deliver the rock onto the flag, and let a Keke push PUSH out of ROCK IS PUSH before walking onto the winning rock.
Mechanics
Baba makes dangerous grass and the Kekes make dangerous tiles. The grass trail holds back the lower Kekes while the upper group preserves the relocated rule. The flag becomes Me under the rock, activating ROCK ON ME IS WIN; removing PUSH permits contact.
Attempts
All four visits remain, including failed trail routes and earlier rock deliveries after the transformation rule had broken. Five Baba deaths and all 34 undo inputs are retained, with no restart. Three stationary waits in the final visit created lethal grass; undoing them and walking instead supplied the needed delay.
Raw footage
29 min 5 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
10 · Adventurers
Approach
Use BABA MAKE BELT to lay separate routes for the two hands, then activate BELT IS SHIFT. Belts deliver HAND into HAND IS MOVE while Baba stays on the flag side. Cross the still-inert ice, stand on the flag, and wait for the hands to deliver DEFEAT and WIN.
Mechanics
MOVE and SHIFT combine to steer the couriers through the skulls. The lower hand needs a downward-facing landing belt to stay on its own route. One hand activates ICE IS DEFEAT; the other completes ICE AND FLAG IS WIN. Baba reaches the flag before the ice becomes dangerous.
Attempts
All three visits remain, including trapped couriers, incorrect belt directions and 201 undo inputs. Belts in the flag passage carried ice onto the flag and caused one Baba death, followed by one restart. The final layout leaves that passage free of belts and wins after nine walking inputs and thirteen waits.
Raw footage
42 min 57 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 4 · Alley
Approach
Use a physical rock as the noun in ROCK IS PUSH. Sink one rock into the lower water, then sacrifice the rock noun to another water tile to turn ROCK IS PUSH off. Rebuild WATER IS PUSH, raise the remaining water, and cross the inert rock to reach the moon.
Mechanics
A literal ROCK tile first enables ROCK IS WORD; an ordinary rock cannot bootstrap that rule. Physical word-rocks remain grounded despite TEXT IS FLOAT, so WATER IS SINK can consume the noun and disable its rule. A water tile with PUSH must have room to move before a rock can enter it.
Attempts
All five visits remain, including the failed body-first WORD setup, trapped WATER IS PUSH layouts, blocked sink attempts, routing corrections and eight undos. The fourth visit verified the rock-noun sacrifice; the fifth resumed that exact paused state and finished without undo, restart or death. The full Chasm Area Clear animation is retained.
Raw footage
52 min 32 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
E · Looking for a Heart
Approach
Build ROCK IS ALL vertically so ALL can be pushed aside after generating hearts and extra Babas. Use two Babas to recover the shared IS, then give LOVE both PUSH and OPEN. Guide two hearts through the lower passage to open the two doors and reach the flag.
Mechanics
ROCK IS ALL keeps generating the available object types, including walls that trap words and prevent stacked flags from winning. Moving hearts can leave their spawned wall. Breaking the vertical transformation rule frees a route to recover IS; crossing LOVE IS OPEN with LOVE IS PUSH lets hearts open doors under direct control.
Attempts
All four visits remain, including trapped horizontal transformation rules, the failed spawn-on-IS recovery, MOVE/OPEN timing experiments and the moving-rock trail. Eighteen undos, three restarts and sixteen waits are retained. The final branch recovered IS with two Babas and opened both doors, with routing and push-alignment mistakes preserved.
Raw footage
1 h 8 min 32 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
G · Entropy
Approach
Give the controlled rocks HAS ROCK and OPEN to break through the SHUT walls. Separate two rocks, remove OPEN, then change the payload to BABA and use WEAK to break only one rock. Remove WEAK and bring the surviving rock onto the spawned Baba.
Mechanics
ALL IS SHUT makes an OPEN rock destroy itself; HAS ROCK replaces it, allowing the controlled rocks to keep moving and open passages. A blocked WEAK rock releases Baba through HAS. BABA ON ROCK IS WIN rewards the final overlap, so the survivor must lose WEAK before contact.
Attempts
One continuous visit retains 84 undos and no restart: 13 early mechanic checks and a 71-input rollback after the first wall opening trapped the rule words. Repeated OPEN contacts merged the rocks. Blocking one rock with WEAK while the other moved separated the pair, enabling the planned sacrifice and final overlap.
Raw footage
32 min 19 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
09 · Fragile Existence
Approach
Melt the door with a HOT key, build WALL IS MELT, and use Baba and the key together to carry HOT into LEVEL IS HOT. With all walls gone, retrieve WIN and make KEY IS WIN while the key remains controlled.
Mechanics
LEVEL IS HOT melts every MELT wall without requiring the key to enter a STOP wall. Shared YOU keeps Baba controlled while the key rule is temporarily broken, letting the two bodies cooperate to extract HOT. A controlled key wins as soon as KEY IS WIN forms.
Attempts
All three visits remain, including the inspection-only middle visit, two whole-level deaths from LEVEL IS WEAK, 62 undos and no restarts. A HOT key could not enter the STOP/MELT walls in the earlier attempt. The final visit used LEVEL IS HOT and won without undo or death, preserving all routing corrections.
Raw footage
44 min 49 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 6 · Visiting Baba
Approach
Teleport a fungus into the upper room and overlap it with the floating ROCK text. Push the shared noun stack beside the teleporter to make both ROCK IS PUSH and FUNGUS IS PUSH, then teleport Me out. Carry those rules through the one-way entrance and sink one rock and two fungi into the three water rows to reach Baba.
Mechanics
FUNGUS IS WORD lets the physical fungus and the floating ROCK text share the noun position in one vertical rule. Pushing both off the star preserves both PUSH rules while Me teleports away. These replacement rules remain active when entering the right room breaks its original FUNGUS IS PUSH rule.
Attempts
Two chronological visits are retained. The first tried exporting an IS past the skull with a rock and stopped without a finish. The second tested the shared noun stack, verified both PUSH rules after closing the door, and opened all three water gaps. Includes five undos, waits and blocked moves; no restart.
Raw footage
35 min 45 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 5 · Keke and the Star
Approach
Keep LAVA IS WORD supported by literal text, then use a physical lava as the noun in BABA IS LAVA to create a second controlled lava. Shift the literal WORD column down so one lava can carry IS YOU across the skull corridor while the other holds LAVA IS FLOAT. Deliver YOU to Keke and walk Keke left onto the star.
Mechanics
A WORD lava can supply a noun in a transformation or control rule while literal text independently maintains WORD. The second lava stays against the blocked IS FLOAT pair as the mobile YOU sentence moves right. FLOAT permits the skull crossing; replacing SLEEP with YOU gives control to Keke.
Attempts
All four visits are retained, including an inspection visit, an early control-loss undo and the failed attempt to keep WORD supported by a physical lava alone. One restart led to the independent WORD setup; the final carrier, FLOAT hold and Keke transfer were checked in short steps.
Raw footage
1 h 4 min 32 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
03 · Pillarwork
Approach
Stage an upper bridge and a winning flag above a wall before enabling FALL. Time the descent past both fires, change the skulls into grass, and use a PULL flag to lift Baba back up. Cross the upper bridge and push PULL and the spare IS downward twice, completing FLAG IS WIN. Step left onto the flag supported by the wall.
Mechanics
A falling Baba can pull its supporting flag upward and stand on ordinary text. Pushing PULL downward breaks FLAG IS PULL but leaves the PULL word beneath Baba as support. Approaching the goal from above lets that word buffer the final IS placement, while the wall keeps Baba from falling past the winning flag.
Attempts
All eight visits remain, including fire deaths, the flag-to-Baba branch, lower bridges, blocked PULL contact, the fall past a winning flag, and the upward escape that broke WIN. Includes 61 undos and no restarts. The final upper approach completed without an undo or death; every attempt and inspection is preserved.
Raw footage
2 h 8 min 7 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
05 · Torn Apart
Approach
Shift BABA IS GROUP and lower GROUP IS YOU until YOU completes direct BABA IS YOU. Reuse the freed words to make ROCK IS GROUP and GROUP IS PUSH, then sink one rock into each of the two upper lava tiles and reach the flag.
Mechanics
GROUP membership passes PUSH to the rocks through the two rules. Replacing indirect control with direct Baba control frees the words needed for that arrangement. Each rock is consumed while removing one SINK lava tile.
Attempts
First visit. An initial push broke BABA IS GROUP and immediately removed YOU; one undo restored control. The later rearrangement and both lava crossings were inspected before continuing. One undo, no restart; all 106 logged inputs are retained.
Raw footage
9 min 56 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
06 · Vital Ingredients
Approach
Build a cross using two IS and two GROUP words so both skull and bat inherit PUSH and OPEN. Temporarily move OPEN and BAT to free the boxed-in skull, restore the rules before bringing the bat through the upward belt, and use one object on each door to reach the flag.
Mechanics
SKULL IS GROUP and BAT IS GROUP share GROUP IS PUSH and GROUP IS OPEN through the crossing layout. The skull and bat each open a SHUT door after passing the one-way belt. Their fixed identity rules remain intact.
Attempts
First visit. An early routing mistake shifted the SKULL IS OPEN row; eight undos restored it. Later construction, temporary rule breaks, restorations and door openings were inspected. All 183 inputs remain; eight undos and no restart. Victory cleared Volcanic Cavern at 9/9 and awarded the ninth flower.
Raw footage
9 min 46 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
10 · Automaton
Approach
Assign BOX and ME to GROUP while GROUP IS YOU and GROUP IS HOT are active. Guide the box past the statues before Me changes ICE IS DEFEAT to ICE IS MELT, then move the hot box onto the ice to release and touch the winning flag.
Mechanics
The shared GROUP applies YOU and HOT to both objects. Fixed identity rules prevent BOX IS ME from transforming the box. Moving MELT also shifts DEFEAT into STATUE IS DEFEAT, so the box crosses the statues before that change; ICE HAS FLAG supplies the target when the ice melts.
Attempts
First visit. Blocked leftward pushes exposed the cliff beside the alcove. A BOX IS HOT placement used the noun slot needed by GROUP; eighteen undos restored that branch. A separate downward push against IS/HOT was also blocked. The dual-control route and final rule swap were inspected. All 218 inputs are retained, including eighteen undos, with no restart or death.
Raw footage
15 min 30 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
11 · Trick Door
Approach
Keep KEY IS PUSH while changing the ghost rule to GHOST NOT FACING WALL IS PUSH. Carry the ghost through the closing passage, form FLAG IS WIN, and push the ghost up to face the isolated wall. Bring the OPEN key onto the now non-PUSH ghost, then touch the flag it leaves behind.
Mechanics
The facing condition makes the ghost movable during transport and removes PUSH when it faces the wall, allowing the key to overlap it. KEY OPEN and GHOST SHUT consume both objects; GHOST HAS FLAG supplies the winning target. The tile transformation closes the doorway, but Baba can step off the newly formed wall.
Attempts
First visit. A direct tile-transformation trap test was undone once. Five more undos recovered the first crossing with an unconditional PUSH ghost, which would be trapped in the narrow throat. Blocked text-lifting attempts and the corrected shared-rule construction are retained. All 282 inputs remain, including six undos, with no restart or death.
Raw footage
12 min 21 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
01 · Shuffle
Approach
Raise SKULL IS DEFEAT, shift the control row right, and route LONELY around the wall to the top of the skull rule. With BABA IS YOU and LONELY SKULL IS DEFEAT active, enter the bottom skull, cross the enclosure and touch the winning flag.
Mechanics
Moving LONELY from Baba to the skulls leaves Baba directly controlled. In the tested crossing, sharing a tile with Baba makes the skull non-lonely in time to avoid DEFEAT. The condition concerns shared occupancy, not the absence of adjacent neighbors.
Attempts
First visit, with no undo, restart or death. The recording includes the chronological overworld navigation and first inspection of Mountaintop. Lowering LONELY twice opened the route needed to lift it into the new rule. After checking the active rules, one separate upward input tested entry onto the skull; Baba survived, and the next moves reached the flag. All 128 logged inputs are retained.
Raw footage
7 min 1 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
02 · Love at First Sight
Approach
Keep one bird on the border as a crossing point and move the other outside. Disable PUSH to export the floating rule words, rebuild BIRD IS PUSH, and send the outside bird around the lower corner to sink one outer ice tile. Reorder the words, push BIRD across the remaining ice to replace FLAG in the winning rule, then return to the surviving border bird.
Mechanics
LONELY LOVE IS YOU loses control on the occupied border, while LOVE ON BIRD IS YOU supplies control when Love shares the bird's tile. TEXT IS FLOAT lets the words cross the remaining ice. Reusing the fixed IS WIN changes the winning object to the surviving bird, whose tile also restores control on contact.
Attempts
First visit, with one undo and no restart. The first border crossing lost control; six further LEFT inputs had no effect before the undo restored the setup. The successful route used the lower corner to move one bird to the ice and retained the other as the winning bridge. Both rule inspections and all 200 logged inputs remain in the recording.
Raw footage
14 min 48 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
04 · What Is Baba?
Approach
Move the lonely BABA word between MOVE and UP to direct the physical Baba. Send Baba to the outer board edge and back to deliver IS, then arrange BABA IS YOU across occupied tiles so its words stay in place. Use the controlled Baba to retrieve the remaining IS and WIN and complete BABA IS WIN through the anchored control rule.
Mechanics
LONELY TEXT IS YOU controls text on otherwise empty tiles; markers, cliffs and bodies can hold words still by sharing their tiles. The drawn cliff does not stop Baba without a STOP rule: the automatic route bounces at the actual board edge. Anchoring BABA IS YOU enables physical pushes while a freed lonely word also responds to directional input.
Attempts
First visit, with four undos and no restart. Early marker and cliff placements lost control, and an automatic extra step required correcting the MOVE timing. A later UP input left IS on its cliff tile, so Baba had to get underneath and push it into place. All 119 logged inputs, waits, rule inspections and the final input during the victory transition are retained.
Raw footage
14 min 42 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
07 · Seeking Acceptance
Approach
Use the moving bird to break the initial TILE transformation, then build LONELY BABA IS FLAG and FLAG ON TILE IS BABA, activating the output last from a safe tile. Time the bird behind each step off the tile strip: it pushes the resulting flag through the rubble and onto a tile that restores Baba. Cross the lower lane, redirect the bird through the upper lane, and walk up to the sun.
Mechanics
A lonely Baba becomes an uncontrolled PUSH flag on bare ground. The autonomous bird keeps moving and can push that flag through RUBBLE IS DEFEAT safely. FLAG ON TILE IS BABA restores direct control at the destination. The shared rule construction and delayed final FLAG placement keep Baba safe while the two transformations are assembled.
Attempts
First visit, with one undo and no restart or DEFEAT loss. The undo corrected lifting BABA before recovering the upper FLAG. A short conversion test verified loss and restoration of control before the two rubble crossings. Those uncontrolled FLAG phases were successful planned steps. All 293 logged inputs, including 93 waits, rule inspections and the staging correction, are retained.
Raw footage
31 min 40 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
05 · Connector
Approach
Use the movable IS to control Baba in short steps while repositioning the words on their tiles. Build a shared BABA IS YOU and SUN IS SHUT cross against three wall backstops. Keep the cross intact as Baba opens the blocking sun, then move the lonely IS through the opened passage and push TEXT into the winning rule.
Mechanics
LONELY TEXT IS YOU controls the center IS, while the other rule words stay on their tiles. Walls hold that IS on UP, DOWN and RIGHT, preserving both control and SHUT during Baba's approach. OPEN Baba and the SHUT sun disappear together; the controlled IS remains available to finish TEXT IS WIN.
Attempts
Both visits are retained chronologically. The first visit used two undos to correct pushing SUN toward the outer boundary, then tested a simultaneous control-to-SHUT switch that left the sun intact. The second visit used the shared cross and completed the intentional OPEN sacrifice without an undo or restart. All 427 logged inputs, rule repairs, inspections and the failed timing test remain in the recording.
Raw footage
40 min 47 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
12 · Trapped
Approach
Use BABA IS SHIFT to place an upward-facing box directly below a single wall, then switch to BOX IS SHIFT. Enter from below to land on the wall facing clear floor, lift FLAG into FLAG IS WIN, and follow the wall crossings and right passage to the flag.
Mechanics
WALL has no STOP rule, but BABA FACING WALL IS EMPTY makes the direction after each move critical. The shifted arrival and direct crossings survive because Baba faces clear floor beyond a one-cell wall. CLIFF IS STOP still blocks the separate cliff boundaries.
Attempts
Both visits are retained. The first found that BABA IS SHIFT moved the entered box instead of teleporting Baba; a later BOX IS SHIFT entry lost Baba and required one undo. The second changed the box position so the shifted arrival faced clear floor, then finished without an undo, restart or death. All 169 inputs remain.
Raw footage
21 min 12 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
13 · Tunnel
Approach
Form SKULL NOT FACING SKULL IS PUSH and bring two skulls face to face over the fire. Walk across the resulting bridge, use the two right-hand skulls to sink the lava blocking the upper passage, raise IS into FLAG IS WIN, and return to the flag.
Mechanics
The belt delivers Baba behind the courier skull. NOT FACING makes that skull pushable until it faces the other skull; facing each other disables PUSH for both bridge pieces. FIRE NOT ON SKULL IS DEFEAT leaves their covered fire tiles safe to cross, while LAVA IS SINK consumes the two spare skulls.
Attempts
One continuous visit retains all 371 inputs, including nine waits, one death and 25 undos. The initial SKULL FACING NOT SKULL IS PUSH arrangement did not make the courier pushable, and Baba later died on uncovered fire. The rollback and swap to NOT FACING are retained; the corrected route finished without another death, undo or restart.
Raw footage
21 min 55 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
09 · Join the Crew
Approach
Alternate BABA and ROCK membership to move the rule down toward GROUP IS YOU while retaining control. Move the rock pushers clear of the final word column, restore Baba, and add BAT IS GROUP. With the bats gone, walk to the flag.
Mechanics
An inactive rock keeps STOP, so the control handoff must leave it outside the next word push. The alternating membership cycle lets Baba and the two rocks move different parts of the rule. Giving the DEFEAT bats GROUP membership also makes them YOU: all four disappear immediately while Baba stays controlled.
Attempts
Both visits and all 211 inputs are retained. The first direct BABA IS YOU handoff left an inactive STOP rock blocking the final GROUP push. The second used the alternating handoff and cleared the pushers before adding BAT. No undo, restart or player death occurred; removing the bats was the intentional final mechanic.
Raw footage
26 min 37 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
11 · Heavy Words
Approach
Use MOON IS WIN on the left floor to support DUST and WEAK at export height. Deliver WEAK, store STAR out of the shaft, then deliver the right-hand IS and DUST to form DUST IS WEAK below. Push the intact rule across the belt, destroy the upper dust and reach the winning moon from above.
Mechanics
Falling FLOAT text rests on other text, while the rocket cannot support it. The winning moon rule doubles as a platform, preserving both cargo words. Floating WEAK stays on the ground belt; shifting the completed DUST IS WEAK row lets the rocket cross while keeping dust contact safe. The lower dust need not be removed.
Attempts
All seven visits and 1,140 inputs remain, including 48 undos and three restarts. Earlier visits retain the fatal DUST IS WIN contact, an accidental belt crossing and death, failed support tests, and delivery-order experiments. The final visit completes the left support arrangement and lower rule without an undo, restart or death.
Raw footage
1 h 24 min 59 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Finale · A Way Out?
Approach
Temporarily form BELT IS PUSH below the original rule to stage two belt turns, then recover the borrowed IS for the right alcove. Use Keke to deliver the freight, time Baba’s arrival on the receiver’s left, and push ROCK into ROCK IS PUSH. Exit through the ice passages, push the lower rocks to form FLAG IS WIN, and reach the flag.
Mechanics
The same IS serves belt preparation and the final rock rule. BELT IS SHIFT redirects the moving Keke and its text cargo; launch timing lets Baba receive ROCK before it becomes trapped. Crossing each of the three ice exits leaves a wall, so the freight and return path must be staged first.
Attempts
All ten visits and 2,005 logged inputs remain, including 114 undos, 193 waits and no restarts. Earlier rule-allocation and courier experiments are retained. The final visit’s first launch caught Baba at the upward turn; 27 undos restored the prelaunch checkpoint. The corrected launch, receiver, rule construction and victory follow in the same chronological recording, with no clean replay substituted.
Raw footage
2 h 17 min 36 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
03 · Keep Out!
Approach
Give the belt PULL and carry the inert tree in Keke’s cell through the corridor to the right shaft. Reuse the same IS to restore TREE IS PULL, approach from above through the left shaft, and pull the hot tree onto the fungus. Clear the tree from the released flag and return to it.
Mechanics
A pulled SHIFT belt repeatedly carries the inert tree into Keke’s cell, allowing turns that ordinary tree pulling could not make. Prestaging TREE lets the same IS switch from BELT PULL to TREE PULL after delivery. The hot tree melts the fungus, whose HAS rule releases the winning flag.
Attempts
All eleven visits and 1,002 inputs are retained, including 24 undos, six waits and three restarts. Earlier corridor-turn, rule-switch and transport experiments remain in order. The final visit completes the carrier route, restores TREE PULL and reaches the flag without an undo, restart, wait or death.
Raw footage
1 h 40 min 5 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
07 · Concrete Goals
Approach
Disabled BELT PUSH, rode the conveyor into the chamber, and broke WALL STOP. Added IS and PUSH below the fixed FLAG noun while preserving FLAG IS WIN, then pushed the flag backward onto the belt so SHIFT returned it onto Baba.
Mechanics
The same FLAG word supports horizontal WIN and vertical PUSH rules. Direct movement into the STOP flag was blocked, but the belt could shift that winning flag onto Baba.
Attempts
One chronological attempt with all 100 inputs retained, including the blocked upward flag contact and both rule inspections. No undo, restart, wait, or death.
Raw footage
9 min 27 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
12 · Lock the Door
Approach
Temporarily give Baba SHIFT using the fixed BABA noun, then carry the overlapping bug and belt out of the shaft. Stage the pair facing right along the lower row and give both SHIFT. Enter through the fungus before the pair pushes the goal words into FUNGUS IS DEFEAT and LOVE IS WIN, then touch the heart.
Mechanics
The overlapping bug and belt shift each other forward on successive turns. Their delayed arrival pushes the floating goal words while Baba crosses the still-safe entrance. Activating the goal rules after entry makes the heart winning without needing to move the fungus.
Attempts
One continuous visit retains all 395 inputs, including four undos, two waits, the early goal switch and carrier direction tests. The final setup uses BABA SHIFT to extract the pair and autonomous SHIFT transport to change the goal rules. No restart or death occurred.
Raw footage
30 min 46 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
A · Nearly
Approach
Moved above the lower SWAP word and stepped down to exchange Baba with it, breaking BABA IS SWAP. Then walked to the flag while BABA IS YOU and FLAG IS WIN remained active.
Mechanics
SWAP exchanged Baba and the word instead of pushing it. Displacing the property disabled the same rule that enabled the exchange.
Attempts
One chronological attempt with all 18 inputs retained, including the rule inspection and map entry. No undo, restart, wait, or death. The initial visual misreading of SWAP as FLOAT was corrected in the pause before puzzle movement.
Raw footage
2 min 47 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
B · Not Quite
Approach
Moved WIN aside, then used repeated swaps to lift the flag into its old rule position. Pushed WIN back into the flag, restoring FLAG IS WIN while the flag swapped onto Baba.
Mechanics
A SWAP object can exchange with a pushed word. The final exchange placed the flag on Baba on the same turn that its WIN rule was restored. BABA IS YOU remained intact.
Attempts
One chronological attempt with all 35 inputs retained, including the initial rule inspection and each checked flag lift. No undo, restart, wait, or death.
Raw footage
4 min 29 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
C · Passing Through
Approach
Turn the skull right with PUSH, then convert it to Keke for a moving SWAP pass through the grass. Convert Keke back to a skull for the return so the grass stays displaced. Repeat the rightward Keke pass to move the grass farther left, cross through the two cleared cells and reach the winning rock.
Mechanics
Keke’s fixed SWAP prevents the initial PUSH test from turning it. SKULL PUSH supplies directional control, and converting the skull to Keke preserves that direction. The non-SWAP skull return preserves the first grass displacement; the second SWAP pass opens a usable crossing. Inputs that break MOVE still advance the actor in the inspected cases.
Attempts
One continuous visit retains all 282 inputs, including 25 waits and three undos. The undos recover an unintended SKULL IS MOVE activation during word staging; later word-routing mistakes are repaired forward. Both grass passes and the full victory remain, with no restart, death or clean replay.
Raw footage
16 min 43 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
D · Salvage
Approach
Push a six-word TEXT PULL train through the skull boundary, then reverse direction to retrieve the outside SWAP word. Add SWAP to the rule and pull twice to move a boundary skull outward. Disconnect SWAP, escape through the gap and use spare words as pushing buffers to recover FLAG and WIN safely. Build FLAG IS WIN outside the ring and reach the flag.
Mechanics
TEXT PULL moves the whole word train, including the outside SWAP. With TEXT PULL AND SWAP active, each inspected pull moves the boundary skull one cell outward. Fixed TEXT IS NOT WIN vetoes the temporary positive WIN clause. Extra words let Baba push a needed word beyond a deadly skull while stopping safely before it.
Attempts
One continuous visit retains all 343 inputs, construction, pull tests and forward repairs. The predicted multi-cell skull relay instead moves the skull one cell per tested input. An unintended FLAG displacement is repaired forward, and the recording retains the extra word retrieval. No undo, restart, wait, death or clean replay is used.
Raw footage
34 min 12 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
? · ?
Approach
Reached the isolated ? level after transforming Fragile Existence into a map Baba. Seven RIGHT inputs moved Baba to the flag; the final original screenshot shows the win.
Mechanics
The inspected room contained Baba and a flag. Contact with the flag completed the level; the settled map showed 146 completed levels and nine flowers.
Attempts
Capture gap: only entry and the initial pause are on video, presented at 2× speed. The remaining eight logged inputs (resume and seven RIGHT moves) have no footage. A labelled appendix shows four original screenshots, including victory; no movement is reconstructed or replayed. No undo, restart, wait or death. Capture-gap details: data/pause-edits-146.json.
Raw footage
9 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus. 8 missing-video inputs are excluded from this time.
10 · Hostile Environment
Approach
Gave one Keke MOVE and WEAK, with KEKE HAS BABA active. Its first passage through the DEFEAT words destroys Baba. An inert flag placed on the return path then destroys Keke and recreates Baba; the new body completes FLAG IS WIN and reaches the flag.
Mechanics
A blocked MOVE bounces Keke without destroying it: the first six-wait test failed. In the successful test, Keke overlaps the inert flag on wait 12, WEAK destroys Keke, and HAS creates a controlled Baba after LEVEL IS DEFEAT has cleared.
Attempts
Nine chronological visits in 86 capture clips, including failed control, stacking, conversion and courier experiments: 2,145 logged inputs, 232 undos, four restarts and 27 waits. Presented at 2× speed. Capture gap: setup14 inputs 7–10 (LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, DOWN) have no footage; an explicit card and the original result screenshot appear at that point. The remaining 2,141 inputs have video coverage. No clean replay. Details: data/pause-edits-147.json.
Raw footage
1 h 50 min 15 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus. 4 missing-video inputs are excluded from this time.
Map · Map
Approach
After Hunt 006 turned Hostile Environment into an overworld flag, moved the map Baba around the blocked approach and onto that flag.
Mechanics
BABA IS YOU and FLAG IS WIN were active on the overworld. DOWN, RIGHT, RIGHT, UP brought Baba onto the transformed flag, triggering a transition to the ??? map. The settled pause showed 148 completed levels and nine flowers.
Attempts
All six inputs from two original captures are retained at 2× speed: one blocked RIGHT, the four-move approach and the final pause. No undo, restart, explicit wait or death. Hunt 006’s earlier transformation footage is allocated separately; no source is counted twice or used to repair level 147’s historical gap.
Raw footage
1 min 29 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
01 · Glitch
Approach
Moved BABA IS YOU sideways as an intact rule to free a column for LOVE, IS and the trapped FLAG word. Then reached the flag created from the heart.
Mechanics
Shifting the entire control rule preserved Baba’s movement while freeing the square above the spare IS. Pushing IS down and LOVE sideways formed vertical LOVE IS FLAG using the FLAG word from FLAG IS WIN. The heart became a flag, and the unchanged win rule made contact win.
Attempts
All 49 inputs across four chronological captures are retained at 2× speed, including entry/navigation and the final pause. No undo, restart, explicit wait, failed move or death was observed. The returned ??? map pause confirms 149 completed levels and nine flowers.
Raw footage
2 min 59 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
02 · Error
Approach
Reconsidered the heading after two blocked lower-wall probes. Its separate letters supplied LOVE, which let the heart take control while Baba became the winning flag.
Mechanics
Moved the intact BABA IS YOU row aside and arranged L, O, V and E vertically above IS YOU. The rule list and a shared movement test confirmed LOVE IS YOU. The heart then reused the BABA and IS words to make BABA IS FLAG with the trapped FLAG word. FLAG IS WIN remained active, so the controlled heart could reach the converted Baba.
Attempts
All 278 inputs across 21 chronological originals are retained at 2× speed, including both failed lower-wall probes, blocked D/L map routes, reentry-time ignored LUU, the successful letter constructor, control timing checks, victory and final pause. No undo, restart, explicit wait or death was observed. The settled ??? map pause confirms 150 completed levels and nine flowers.
Raw footage
15 min 35 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
03 · Whoops
Approach
Used autonomous Keke to break ICE IS YOU, then rearranged the available words into crossing KEKE IS WIN and KEKE IS YOU rules.
Mechanics
Directed Keke left before activating MOVE; its bounce carried it back to push ICE out of the control rule. An IS word destroyed the weak flag. Raising the intact FLAG IS WIN column let its WIN also complete KEKE IS WIN. Adding KEKE IS YOU then won immediately at Keke, without another object touching it.
Attempts
All 186 inputs across seven chronological originals are retained at 2× speed, including 20 explicit waits, two Baba deaths, two undos and one actual restart. Activating BABA IS DEFEAT and directly contacting the weak flag both failed. The first MOVE setup went down and was restarted. The successful crossing rules, word destroying the flag, victory and settled 151/nine-flower pause remain included.
Raw footage
18 min 31 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
04 · Mean Fence
Approach
Crossed the fence sideways and through its gap, then carried WIN around the isolated wall to complete FLAG IS WIN.
Mechanics
Baba survived entering a wall while facing the empty cell beyond it under BABA FACING WALL IS EMPTY. WALL itself had no STOP rule. Careful side approaches let Baba push WIN through the gap, shift it left, and lift it into the flag sentence before reaching the flag.
Attempts
All 48 inputs across three chronological originals are retained at 2× speed, including the initial crossing test, word transport, victory and final pause. No undo, restart, explicit wait, failed move or death was observed. The settled map confirms 152 completed levels and nine flowers.
Raw footage
3 min 41 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
05 · Scale
Approach
Rearranged the central words into BABA IS PUSH and NOT ROCK IS NOT YOU, then used the remaining controlled rock to clear the water and reach the flag.
Mechanics
The hedge held Rock still while Baba moved, allowing Rock to break BABA IS YOU. Words passed through inert Baba, and Rock could step out of their overlap after BABA IS PUSH activated. NOT ROCK IS NOT YOU suppressed Skull control while fixed ROCK IS YOU remained effective, preserving NOT LONELY FLAG IS WIN. Pushing Baba into WATER IS SINK removed both; Rock then shared the flag tile and won.
Attempts
All 116 inputs across eight chronological originals are retained at 2× speed, including entry, the second DOWN blocked for Rock while Baba moved, every rule change, one deliberate Baba sacrifice and the settled 153/nine-flower pause. There were no undos, restarts or explicit waits. The constructor was checked against the live board at each critical stage.
Raw footage
6 min 55 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
06 · Fireplace
Approach
Held the inner moving skull in place with repeated swaps while the outer skull descended to lift WIN into FLAG IS WIN.
Mechanics
Each DOWN swapped Baba with the inner skull, whose automatic movement swapped them back. This preserved the fire and rock barrier while the outer skull advanced. On the tenth held turn, the outer skull swapped WIN upward; Baba then reached the winning flag.
Attempts
All 70 inputs across four chronological originals are retained at 2× speed, including the failed first conversion, four explicit waits, five undos and all ten successful hold turns. The unheld inner skull let the ghost push WIN away; the revised timing kept it aligned. No restart or death occurred. Victory and the settled 154/nine-flower pause remain included.
Raw footage
5 min 32 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
07 · Turn the Corner
Approach
Used crossing WALL IS OPEN and ROCK IS PUSH AND SHUT rules to open the wall beside SINK, then pushed WIN through the opening to form LEVEL IS WIN.
Mechanics
LEVEL IS SINK destroyed the playable board and undo restored it. FLAG IS ROCK created a reserve rock that remained unused. The original SHUT rock removed an OPEN wall. Moving AND and SHUT cleared the transport row; WIN displaced SINK sideways, then an upward push completed LEVEL IS WIN and immediately triggered victory.
Attempts
All 224 inputs across eleven chronological originals are retained at 2× speed, including one full-board destruction, one undo, the extra-rock preparation, every shared-rule construction input, the wall sacrifice and the settled 155/nine-flower pause. No restart or explicit wait occurred. The prepared outside/control route was abandoned before any outer-wall strike; its actual preparation remains in the replay.
Raw footage
9 min 32 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
01 · Lunar Gallery
Approach
Converted the divider moon into Baba with a letter-built MOON IS BABA rule, then formed NOT BABA IS PUSH to move the enclosing walls and open an exit.
Mechanics
Individual letters formed working rule words. After pushing the east wall outward twice, moving PUSH down broke the rule before the exit to the outside flag. The HOT detour melted a DEFEAT/MELT skull and left a visible surviving Baba; the number of overlapping survivors could not be confirmed.
Attempts
All 321 inputs across ten chronological originals are retained at 2× speed, including ABC discovery and entry, the HOT detour, every constructor move, wall and rule repositioning, and the settled 156/nine-flower pause. No undo, restart, explicit wait or death was observed; stacked Baba survival count after skull contact remains uncertain.
Raw footage
11 min 22 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
02 · BA
Approach
Shifted the control row and shared four BA fragments between crossing BABA rules. Turned the outside rock into a HOT, FLOAT Baba, melted the box, then broke FLOAT and HOT before returning to the flag.
Mechanics
Pairs of BA fragments spell BABA horizontally and vertically. BOX HAS FLAG creates a flag when the floating box melts. Contact while Baba is FLOAT did not win; after the inside Baba broke that rule, the outside Baba made winning contact.
Attempts
All 247 inputs across three chronological originals are retained at 2× speed, including entry, the 87-input constructor, 20-input control transfer, 109-input final setup and complete winning continuation. No undo, restart, explicit wait or death was observed.
Raw footage
6 min 33 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
04 · Wall
Approach
Used the ALL suffix in WALL to make walls movable, retrieve OPEN through the roof and remove the SHUT doors. Restored PUSH, lifted the hedge beside the flag, then broke PUSH for winning contact.
Mechanics
W A L L also parses ALL beginning at its A tile. WALL IS KEY therefore also formed ALL IS KEY and transformed Baba, losing control while identity-protected doors remained. ALL IS PUSH later moved walls and hedges; ALL IS OPEN removed the SHUT doors.
Attempts
All 541 logged inputs are retained at 2× speed, including the failed KEY transformation, 140 undos to the opened-door checkpoint, the corrected PUSH setup, roof-word retrieval and complete flag finish. No restart, explicit wait or death was observed.
Raw footage
20 min 12 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 1 · Across
Approach
Timed a Keke’s push with Baba’s push so the opposing belts rotated the shared control rule into horizontal BABA IS YOU. Pushed that intact row into the goal alcove, sharing IS with FLAG IS WIN while Baba reached the flag.
Mechanics
MOVE and SHIFT can restore control within one input. A mistimed launch formed BABA IS MOVE; another formed KEKE IS YOU, making both Kekes disappear under fixed KEKE IS DEFEAT. Correct timing moved BABA and YOU onto the two belts together.
Attempts
All 195 inputs are retained at 2× speed, including both failed control arrangements, 35 undos, two timing waits and the successful eight-push finish. No restart or Baba death was observed.
Raw footage
18 min 6 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 2 · Castle Disaster
Approach
Carried WIN through the castle’s two divider gaps before replacing BABA with WALL in the control rule. Two RIGHT inputs then let the walls position BABA above the shared IS and touch the inert Baba as BABA IS WIN formed.
Mechanics
Different controlled wall cells pushed words and contacted Baba. WALL IS YOU shared IS with vertical BABA IS WIN. A tree blocked one moving wall, so the castle did not remain a rigid shape.
Attempts
All 138 inputs are retained at 2× speed, including the first wall-control probe, nine undos, a blocked approach, accidental control loss and fourteen ineffective inputs before recovery. No restart, explicit wait or death was observed.
Raw footage
9 min 35 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 3 · Hazel Den
Approach
Teleported ROCK and SKULL words onto the same flag, disabled TELE, then pushed the stacked nouns into a shared IS PUSH sentence. Cleared the middle water lane, formed FLAG IS WIN and returned to a flag.
Mechanics
Both overlapping noun words formed PUSH rules. Pushing the middle skull and rock into water removed the two water cells while preserving the physical flags for the finish.
Attempts
All 320 inputs across two originals are retained at 2× speed, including the failed cargo-on-STOP route, 30 undos, four waits and the successful revisit. No restart or Baba death was observed.
Raw footage
26 min 13 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
09 · Moving Floor
Approach
Used two flags to hold the lower belt until WIN was moved and Keke returned. Released FLAG PUSH, sent separate word pairs to hold the upper and middle belts, then formed BABA IS WIN and touched Baba.
Mechanics
A PUSH object backed by hedge stops SHIFT from carrying Keke off a belt. The lower stop was needed only for the first crossing and return, freeing all four text words for independent upper and middle stops.
Attempts
Three visits account for 255 logged inputs, including the first setup correction. Timed footage is at 2×. Part 2 failed with Disk Full: 4,544 recovered frames are shown in order at 30 frames/s with original timing unavailable; final RIGHT and pause survive only as labelled screenshots. Earlier part 2 input timing is uncertified. No undo, restart, explicit wait or observed death.
Raw footage
Known-duration subtotal: 21 min 12 s, before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus. Duration is unknown for 1 of 3 original captures; their time is excluded from this subtotal. The 3 originals total 165,673,119 bytes. At least 2 inputs have known missing video. Other input coverage is not fully certified.
Extra 1 · Crumbling Floor
Approach
Used two flags to cross the lower belt, move WIN right and return. Packed the three words into the upper belt, pushed IS down to make the middle backstop, then carried WIN around the lower room to form BABA IS WIN and touch Baba.
Mechanics
A text word backed by a hedge stopped each belt from shifting Keke. The shorter upper belt and clear stance above it allowed the middle IS to be extracted downward and delivered to the next belt.
Attempts
All 145 inputs from one original are retained at 2× speed, including navigation, the initial pause, both backstop checks and the complete finish. No failed move, undo, restart, explicit wait or death was observed.
Raw footage
10 min 25 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 4 · Baba Has Keke
Approach
After testing two four-belt loops, built a six-belt circuit around stationary HAS. Used PUSH as a fourth text token, then timed the lava and door contacts to the alternating BABA HAS KEKE and KEKE HAS BABA rules.
Mechanics
The two Baba MELTs create controllable Kekes. OPEN Keke removes the door and produces Baba on the approach tile, so the next phase uses two UPs and six waits before the upper lava. The final Keke reaches the flag.
Attempts
All 563 inputs across four originals are retained at 2× speed, including both calibration traces, four undos, 32 waits and one restart. Two Baba MELTs and one Keke OPEN consumption are intentional HAS replacements.
Raw footage
35 min 44 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
12 · Ultimate Maze
Approach
Use an original key to open one wall and reach the goal words. Turn the remaining walls into keys, form FLAG IS WIN with a key buffer, then return to the physical flag.
Mechanics
The key buffer keeps the controlled IS off the former WIN tile, where it lost LONELY TEXT control. Two final DOWNs move a key onto and then beyond the flag, allowing IS and the flag to overlap and win. The internal control and win order was not isolated.
Attempts
All 159 inputs across seven originals are retained at 2× speed, including seven undos, two earlier whole-board destructions and the later control failure. The final 63-input opening and 22-input return were executed. No restart or explicit wait was used.
Raw footage
21 min 23 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
08 · VIP Area
Approach
Use the rocks and flag under NOT BABA IS YOU. Sacrifice one rock to recover KEKE while preserving the flag, turn the seven guards into Baba, then push FLAG into FLAG IS WIN.
Mechanics
The sacrificial rock delivers KEKE before DEFEAT removes it; the other rock keeps control. Moving the spare IS left before lowering it preserves the flag during KEKE IS BABA. The living controlled flag wins when FLAG IS WIN is formed.
Attempts
All 253 inputs across five originals are retained at 2× speed, including the earlier flag loss, 34 undos, one intentional rock sacrifice, seven accidental UP inputs and two corrective undos. No restart or explicit wait was used.
Raw footage
30 min 0 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
09 · Tense Atmosphere
Approach
Form WALL IS NOT WALL to remove the enclosure. Make the rock PUSH and SINK, push it into the skull below the flag, then walk through the opening.
Mechanics
The first rock push was blocked while the wall had STOP and SINK. WALL IS NOT WALL removed the physical walls. The later sinking rock consumed itself and one skull, leaving Baba alive with a path to the flag.
Attempts
All 118 inputs in the original capture are retained at 2× speed, including the blocked RIGHT, both rule constructors and the rock/skull sacrifice. No undo, restart, explicit wait or Baba death was observed.
Raw footage
12 min 28 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
10 · Tag Team
Approach
Activate ROCK IS YOU and arrange a shared NOT to form BABA IS NOT BABA. Remove both HOT Babas while keeping the rock safely below the corridor blocker, then move the rock to the flag.
Mechanics
SKULL IS NOT STOP permits the final word push through the physical skull. That push completes BABA IS NOT BABA and removes both Babas; the surviving rock remains controlled and wins on the flag under ROCK ON FLAG IS WIN. The internal rule-processing order was not isolated.
Attempts
All 139 inputs are retained at 2× speed, including the eight-input wrong approach, ten-input detour and two intentional Baba removals. No undo, restart, explicit wait or rock MELT occurred.
Raw footage
11 min 53 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
05 · Stardrop
Approach
Convert the original star to a flag while keeping the belts, then complete BELT IS GHOST and FLAG IS FALL together so a new ghost catches the falling flag.
Mechanics
A gap in the GHOST letters lets one DOWN push share IS between the two rules. The flag rests at (151, 328), and FLAG IS WIN stays aligned for contact.
Attempts
All 1,100 inputs across four chronological recordings are retained at 2× speed, including the failed falling-belt and two-hop conversion attempts, five undos, one restart and the successful construction. No explicit wait or death was observed.
Raw footage
37 min 18 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
11 · Security Check
Approach
Use the controlled rocks to reposition the lower KEKE word, restore Baba control, and build a crossing NOT BABA IS NOT KEKE rule. With the guards removed, lift FLAG into the fixed win rule and return to the surviving flag.
Mechanics
Two rocks lift BABA and YOU around a spare IS, then Baba shifts the complete control sentence right. The two-NOT clause removes all seven guards while its shared BABA keeps control; Baba, the rocks and flag remain.
Attempts
All 252 inputs across two chronological recordings are retained at 2× speed, including the wrong-level entry and return, the abandoned lower-word setup, the early IS-delivery attempt and all 25 undos. No restart, explicit wait or Baba death was observed; seven guard removals are intentional self-negation.
Raw footage
26 min 43 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
E · Insulation
Approach
Overlap Baba with an inert Keke above the single-row bottom wall, then convert it into a moving skull. Two wall-swapping steps open the passage; follow through after the outer skull removes SWAP, then walk to the flag.
Mechanics
The conversion input leaves Baba and skull together. The first move deposits WALL onto Baba; the second reaches outside. On the third move the outer skull breaks SWAP, so the fourth-turn rebound can overlap Baba harmlessly outside.
Attempts
All 23 recordings and 586 logged inputs remain chronological, including three undos, one restart and 14 waits. Part 1 lost video for 37 inputs; labelled logs and original stills preserve the evidence without replacement motion. The east-wall failure and successful bottom-wall route are both retained. Timed gameplay is at 2×; disclosures and stills use separate display times.
Raw footage
42 min 26 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus. 37 missing-video inputs are excluded from this time.
08 · Tectonic Movements
Approach
Stage one pillar on the lower return path and bring the second around the outside roof to support the north entrance. Switch PUSH off to form FLAG IS WIN below, restore PUSH above, then send the second pillar through a tree and reach the flag.
Mechanics
An inert pillar keeps Baba’s dust from becoming lonely lava. The lower support allows the goal-rule visit and return, while the second protects the north entrance. TREE IS SINK consumes the delivered pillar and one tree, opening the final approach.
Attempts
All 705 inputs across four chronological originals are retained at 2×, including the failed edge placement, 82 undos, the mixed-push separation experiment and the successful 181-direction revisit. No restart, explicit wait or Baba death was observed. The final area completion grants the eleventh flower.
Raw footage
33 min 55 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra 1 · Meteor Strike
Approach
Convert STAR to FLAG while keeping BELT recoverable, then position A, R and FLAG on the extra belt. Complete BELT IS GHOST with one UP so that belt simultaneously assembles FLAG IS FALL. Walk to the flag caught by the left ghost.
Mechanics
The existing belt shifts its cargo before becoming GHOST. That one input forms FLAG IS FALL while creating the ghost that catches the falling flag. The right-side FLAG IS WIN remains intact for contact.
Attempts
All 905 inputs across four chronological originals are retained at 2×, including the standalone GHOST test, the abandoned edgeboxed BELT setup, two undos, one restart, one wait and the successful 600-direction fresh constructor. No Baba death was observed. The final pause confirms 173 completions and eleven flowers.
Raw footage
35 min 9 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
06 · Floaty Platforms
Approach
Build inert rock crossings to export both key and door with both Babas alive. Use ROCK and IS as a push chain to send the key into the door across the horizontal gap, then move the left Baba onto the flag released by DOOR HAS FLAG.
Mechanics
Temporarily disable ROCK IS PUSH so Babas and cargo can share the rocks without being lonely. The final route keeps two rule words accessible as pushers; the third word can be left beyond the platform. The key opens the door and creates a flag at391184. On the winning RIGHT, the left Baba touches it while the right Baba is lost off the platform.
Attempts
Six chronological visits and387 logged inputs, including earlier total-control and individual Baba losses, two undos, one confirmed restart, incidental level00 entry/exit, and the successful111-direction fresh route. All385 captured inputs remain at2×. Visit4 ends before its final two menu inputs; a labelled log and independent map still disclose that gap. Final pause confirms174 completions and eleven flowers.
Raw footage
41 min 14 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus. 2 missing-video inputs are excluded from this time.
Extra 1 · The Floatiest Platforms
Approach
Build a crossing of three inert rocks and move the three rule words into a push chain against the right boundary. Hold the right Baba there while the left crosses the rocks to join it, then move the co-located Babas to the key and push it into the stationary door.
Mechanics
The boundary blocks the word train while ROCK IS PUSH stays off. The co-located Babas survive together on empty cells under LONELY BABA IS DEFEAT and push the key one cell per input. The key opens the fixed door and DOOR HAS FLAG creates the winning flag.
Attempts
Two chronological visits and 96 recorded inputs: entry and inspection, then the successful 89-direction fresh route. The merge, empty-cell survival, joint key push, door opening and victory were checked separately. No undo, restart, actor loss or missing input was observed. Final pause confirms 175 completions and eleven flowers; Mountaintop shows 8/6.
Raw footage
10 min 14 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
H · Floodgates
Approach
Pulse STAR IS MORE while reusing three PUSH walls to steer the growing field away from every skull. Stop after the seventh growth advance, move the newly created LOVE word into the fixed IS WIN, then contact the surviving right heart.
Mechanics
Walls and words block incoming STAR copies; Baba does not. Turning MORE off adds no extra STAR layer in the recorded pulses. Repositioning the walls while growth is off lets the left heart melt into LOVE text with all skulls intact and no lava. Earlier right-pocket testing showed LOVE over lava and outgoing lava growth despite that text cover.
Attempts
Eleven chronological visits and 1,307 captured inputs, including two lava deaths, three undos, one confirmed restart and eighteen waits. Earlier blocked wall extraction, unsafe LOVE escapes, protected-heart tests and the failed right-pocket barrier remain. The final 49-direction rebuild plus171-direction dynamic route wins with no new death or undo. No missing input was identified; seven short source cadence gaps remain disclosed, including two at the earlier growth10/UP test. Final pause shows176 completions and eleven flowers.
Raw footage
1 h 41 min 29 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
I · Lonely Sight
Approach
Pulse BABA IS MORE, turn it off, and use the bottom boundary to bring the middle pair together. Turn that pair into love, use one surviving Baba to create ice on it, then rebuild the control row so the final Baba becomes a controlled flag and walks onto the ice.
Mechanics
BABA ON BABA IS LOVE selectively transforms the overlapping pair while two single Babas remain. BABA ON LOVE IS ROCK, ROCK ON LOVE IS WEAK and ROCK HAS ICE leave ice at the contact cell with one Baba still controlled. Simultaneous BABA IS FLAG and FLAG IS YOU transfer control to the flag; FLAG ON ICE IS WIN finishes the level. The visible love sprite does not resolve whether multiple love objects overlap.
Attempts
Four chronological visits and251 recorded inputs: discovery,46-input setup followed by the clone pulse and boundary hold,77-input selective-love construction, and107-input ICE/FLAG continuation. All isolated mechanics and final controlled-flag contact passed. No undo, restart, wait, uncontrolled loss of control or missing input was observed. Earlier rejected construction drafts were not played. Final pause confirms177 completions and eleven flowers; Chasm shows15/9.
Raw footage
9 min 20 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
03 · AB
Approach
Recover all five belts, exchange the two physical opposed drivers, and use their delayed shifts to form whole-tile B / AB / A control. Build a shared BABA IS YOU / BABA IS HOT cross, melt the skull and reach the flag.
Mechanics
The exchanged drivers produce a different second-UP outcome. Three subsequent waits and controlled LEFT establish actual whole-tile control; this does not rehabilitate the earlier internal-AB substring failure or prove an internal ordering contract. The single HOT Baba survives contact with the DEFEAT/MELT skull, then wins on the next UP.
Attempts
All eight visits and 1,490 inputs are retained chronologically at 2×, including the failed letter, facing and return-driver tests, one undo, eight explicit waits, 18 arrows during an entry transition and 13 blocked RIGHT inputs. No restart or observed Baba death is identified. Part7’s incidental CONGRATULATIONS animation adds no completion. Four brief frame-spacing gaps intersect no input. The final settled ABC map shows 6/4 and the pause confirms 178 completions with eleven flowers.
Raw footage
1 h 24 min 39 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
09 · Overgrowth
Approach
Create a second controlled fruit from Baba, build KEY ON FRUIT IS PUSH, and move both fruits through the GRASS-to-HEDGE gate. Use one fruit to provide the local condition and the other to push the sole original key to the door.
Mechanics
Creating FRUIT from BABA succeeds without overriding the earlier FRUIT-to-KEY identity veto. KEY ON FRUIT IS PUSH permits transport while both fruits remain controlled. The unlocking UP consumes key and door while two separate fruits survive at (499,160) and (499,184); two further UPs win. This corrects the model’s predicted overlap and extra final UP without establishing a universal update order.
Attempts
All 14 chronological visits and 982 inputs are preserved at 2×, including 35 undos, one confirmed restart, failed conditional control tests, and two inactive Baba-to-KEY losses on SHUT grass. No controlled-body death is observed. Legacy parts 1–8 lack health sidecars; parts 9 and 14 each report one invalid sample. Ten brief frame intervals intersect no input. Two MAP recompletions during navigation add no count. The settled Garden map reads 9/4; the final pause confirms 179 completions and eleven flowers.
Raw footage
1 h 20 min 43 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Extra2 · Out at Sea
Approach
Turn the original ice into an ICE word stacked with LAVA, then convert ON into replacement physical ice while LAVA IS LAVA protects the original lava. Use the spare ICE noun to separate the cargo, then the shared noun pile to make both objects pushable. Send ice, lava and Baba across the belt in that order.
Mechanics
The ICE/LAVA noun pile supplies both PUSH rules. Actual pauses verify the incidental LAVA IS ICE sentence and the fixed identity rule that protects lava. Each isolated belt crossing matches; ice opens the door while Baba and lava survive. Lava melts the box to release its flag, then Baba contacts it. These observations verify this construction without establishing a universal processing order.
Attempts
Both chronological visits and all 323 inputs are preserved at 2×. The successful 312-direction route uses no undo, restart, wait, death or loss of control. One malformed guard command was rejected before dispatch and generated no input. Part1 retains four invalid samples, three gaps outside inputs and its supplied fresh PNG’s failed exact-pixel comparison despite matching geometry. Part2 has two invalid samples and a 101.667ms startup interval before inputs. All323 input brackets and full decodes pass. Rejected desk variants remain distinguished from gameplay. Final pause confirms 180 completions and eleven flowers; settled Garden reads 10/4.
Raw footage
11 min 40 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
01 · Cleaning Service
Approach
Preserve TEXT by using OPEN to unlock the door. Bring WEAK and the upper IS into a vertical TEXT IS WEAK rule, remove the blocked IS beneath LEVEL, then remove the TEXT subject itself. Return IS to SKULL and carry WEAK through the now-safe former LEVEL predicate cell to make SKULL IS WEAK.
Mechanics
Each isolated weak-word push destroys the blocked word and advances Baba immediately, so two modeled normalization directions are omitted. The later pause explicitly lists both SKULL IS WEAK and SKULL IS DEFEAT. Contact removes the middle skull while Baba survives; the remaining four directions reach the flag. These are verified outcomes of these arrangements, without asserting a universal processing order.
Attempts
Both chronological visits and all 394 inputs are retained at 2×. Part 1 first consumes TEXT and the door, then LEVEL IS WEAK erases the room; one Undo restores the predecessor. This is one whole-room/control-loss failure, with no separate individual Baba death assigned. Part 2 succeeds with 340 puzzle directions, matching the 342-direction reference except omitted 175 RIGHT and 201 LEFT. Its three intermediate pause/resume pairs and final map pause remain. No restart or explicit wait occurs. Hunt015 between the visits is separately allocated. The part 2 entry-title-card sample has a separate settled original; movement particles and the early blank-room sample remain qualified. Prior failed hypotheses, corrected floor geometry and the unplayed 25-direction alternative remain retained. Final Depths pause confirms181 completions and eleven flowers. Four source interframe intervals exceed 50 ms; one 51.667 ms interval overlaps part 2 LEFT event 248, whose complete input and visible push remain captured. Part 1 also reports one untimestamped invalid sample.
Raw footage
27 min 26 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
???-SECRET · Huh?
Approach
Use text as support while transporting WIN, FLAG and IS through the hedge platforms. Park WIN beside the final receiver, place FLAG above IS, then slide WIN into a vertical FLAG IS WIN sentence. Climb the preserved support route to the physical flag.
Mechanics
The first IS-left push initiates a fall through an intermediate inert hedge to the bottom; one Undo restores the predecessor. Later text-supported landings and moving support preserve Baba. The winning route parks WIN beside the IS lift until the final sideways activation. The pause verifies FLAG IS WIN together with BABA IS YOU and LONELY BABA IS FALL. After the flag contact, the specific winning return restores the ordinary parent word layout and ROCK PUSH, with ROCK LEVEL absent. This records this return without claiming a universal reset rule or explaining the older restoration transition.
Attempts
Both chronological visits and all 108 inputs are retained at 2×. Part1 preserves the failed IS-left fall, one Undo and the 26-direction supported prefix. Part2 uses the exact 68-direction suffix, with an intermediate rule pause/resume and final parent pause. No death, restart or explicit game wait occurs. Final ??? pause confirms 182 completions and eleven flowers. H019 discovery and entry sources are separately allocated. The two source decodes and all input brackets pass; part1 retains a 60 ms non-input interval, while part2 retains a 68.333 ms startup interval and one untimestamped invalid sample. Early victory and return-mask images remain distinct from the settled parent and final pause. Discarded construction gaps and the earlier failed fall remain preserved.
Raw footage
15 min 18 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
???-SECRET · Getting Together
Approach
Escort the flag to the corner with temporary BABA SHIFT. Use WALL ON ROCK IS BABA to create two additional controlled bodies while retaining both rocks. Place SHIFT on the inert lower rock, convert both rocks to walls, then form WALL ON BABA IS ROCK. Convert the spare wall on the held pair into the corner rock, break the inverse, and deliver the wall/text pile onto the pair, rock and flag.
Mechanics
The two created Babas remain a tracked pair after their boundary merge; one visible sprite alone does not establish multiplicity. ROCK IS WALL preserves the lower wall/text overlap. Pushing a spare wall onto the pair creates a rock while retaining the pair and flag; moving away exposes the rock. Breaking the inverse preserves WALL PUSH, and two mixed pushes move the wall and SHIFT together. The last RIGHT satisfies BABA ON WALL & TEXT & BABA & ROCK & FLAG IS WIN. The particular winning return restores the parent word layout and shows 183 completions and eleven flowers; it does not establish a universal parent reset or lethal-water rule.
Attempts
All five chronological visits and 561 inputs are retained at 2×. There are 539 puzzle directions and 22 pause/resume inputs, with no Undo, restart, game S wait, death or repair. Earlier rejected constructors, model corrections and construction gaps remain preserved in the playthrough notes. Source audits retain the part2 55 ms non-input interval and part4 205 ms initial non-input interval with five untimestamped startup invalid samples. Operational heartbeat waits are idle guard waits, not S inputs. Complete original time and all 25 family files remain allocated; H020 discovery/navigation is separate. Early returned-parent footage still shows 182 during the counter animation; the settled parent and final pause certify 183/11. The new white path is visible but untraversed within these sources.
Raw footage
46 min 4 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 001 · Map transformation
Approach
Revisited Fragile Existence, transferred control to the key and formed LEVEL IS BABA. The transformed map Baba could leave the paths and reach the isolated island.
Mechanics
A level transformation changed its overworld node into a controllable Baba. Moving off the paths reached the isolated ? node.
Attempts
One continuous exploration with 120 recorded inputs, including map and menu inspection and the 68-input transformation. No undo, restart, wait or death. Presented at 2× speed with idle thinking gaps removed.
Raw footage
9 min 41 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 002 · Map rules
Approach
Confirmed that Enter on the east path did not enter a level, then moved the map Baba off the path and around the level nodes to the bottom-right words. Pushed BABA upward, breaking BABA IS YOU, then undid the push and inspected the restored rules.
Mechanics
The overworld BABA word can be pushed, and undo restores its rule and the map Baba position. The independent level-selection cursor remains on the east path. No winning map rule or further level completion was achieved.
Attempts
All 44 inputs across ten chronological captures are retained at 2× speed, including blocked RIGHT moves, menu-only recorder diagnostics, the text push and one undo. Two captures reported later stream errors, but every logged input has verified video coverage. No wait, restart, death or clean replay.
Raw footage
3 min 50 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 003 · Regaining the cursor
Approach
After accidentally re-entering ?, returned to the map and moved the transformed Baba onto the detached selection cursor. This selected Fragile Existence again. Moved upward to verify that the cursor followed, then navigated to and entered Hostile Environment.
Mechanics
Overlapping the map Baba with the cursor restored selection of its transformed level. On the next UP, Baba and cursor moved together while the Fragile Existence title remained. Selecting Hostile Environment then allowed the intended level entry.
Attempts
All 84 inputs across thirteen chronological navigation captures are retained at 2× speed, including the wrong ? entry and return. No undo, restart, wait or death. The recording ends at fresh Hostile Environment entry; its later puzzle setup is separate. The completed-level count remains 146.
Raw footage
57 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 004 · Baba Is Level
Approach
Tested the lower overworld boundary and returned to the relocated Fragile Existence node. Rebuilt WALL IS MELT and LEVEL IS HOT to clear the room, then formed BABA IS LEVEL while retaining KEY IS YOU.
Mechanics
DOWN at the tested lower map edge was blocked. Cursor overlap selected the relocated Baba as Fragile Existence, and Return opened its fresh board. BABA IS LEVEL converted Baba into a blue outlined square while the key remained controlled. The square blocked the key’s LEFT move; Return beside it did not enter a level. No further world or completion was established.
Attempts
All 433 inputs across 39 chronological captures are retained, including the blocked Slideshow route, detour, boundary probe, blocked contact, unsuccessful entry attempt and final pause. No undo, restart or wait inputs and no observed death. The hunt ends paused at 147 completions and nine flowers.
Raw footage
9 min 34 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 005 · Level Is You
Approach
Formed LEVEL IS YOU in Fragile Existence and tested movement and entry, then returned to the overworld to test whether control persisted there.
Mechanics
One UP moved the room and fixed words upward by 24 logical pixels; the controlled key and blue object moved upward by 48 absolute pixels, or 24 relative to the room. Return did not enter another level. On the overworld, moving BABA down broke BABA IS YOU. The following LEFT produced no movement, disproving the tested prediction that LEVEL IS YOU would preserve control after leaving the level in this test.
Attempts
All 62 inputs across 12 chronological captures are retained at 2× speed with only idle gaps removed, including the unsuccessful entry test, blocked map movement, single undo and final pause. The undo restored the actor and word. No restart, wait or death was observed; the hunt ends with 147 completed levels and nine flowers.
Raw footage
3 min 33 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 006 · Level Is Flag
Approach
Rebuilt our Hostile Environment setup, used the moving Keke to clear the LEVEL rule and recreate Baba, then carried FLAG into LEVEL IS FLAG.
Mechanics
LEVEL IS DEFEAT deliberately removed Baba during the second wait. The Keke cleared that sentence, reversed at the top obstruction, and broke on the physical flag at the twelfth wait; KEKE HAS BABA restored control. Forming LEVEL IS FLAG automatically returned to the overworld with a flag at the Hostile Environment node. The counters remained 147 completed levels and nine flowers.
Attempts
All 354 inputs across 24 chronological captures are retained at 2× speed with only idle gaps removed, including 12 waits, the deliberate Baba death and recreation, and the preactivation pause. No undo or restart. The subsequent map-contact attempt and completion 148 are a separate recording. This new footage does not replace level 147’s historical capture gap.
Raw footage
13 min 39 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 007 · ??? Map Survey
Approach
Tested routes to the isolated question-mark node and lower outlines, then inspected the side levels unlocked after Across.
Mechanics
The tested rightward and downward approaches were blocked. Hazel Den and Castle Disaster were reached and named, but neither puzzle was entered; the isolated question mark remained unentered.
Attempts
All 25 inputs in one chronological capture are retained at 2×, including six blocked directional attempts and the final 159/nine-flower pause. No undo, restart, explicit wait or puzzle entry occurred.
Raw footage
1 min 15 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 008 · ??? Access Survey
Approach
Returned from Deep Forest and re-entered the ??? map through the overworld flag, then tested lower, rightward and northern approaches to the isolated question-mark area.
Mechanics
Return to Map was disabled on the overworld pause menu. Walking onto the flag entered the ??? map, but the tested approaches still did not reach the isolated question mark after completion 161.
Attempts
All 32 inputs in one chronological capture are retained at 2×, including the disabled menu attempt, blocked directional inputs and final pause at Error with 161 completions and nine flowers. No puzzle entry, undo, restart, explicit wait or observed death occurred.
Raw footage
2 min 51 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 009 · Security Node Survey
Approach
Check whether completing Security Check opened a route below or to the right of its map node.
Mechanics
Both directional tests leave the cursor on node 11. The survey finds no new connection in those two directions, and the final pause retains the 170-level, ten-flower checkpoint.
Attempts
Four recorded inputs—resume, DOWN, RIGHT and pause—preserve both blocked movement tests at 2×. No level was entered, transformation attempted, or additional completion observed. No undo, restart, explicit wait or death occurred.
Raw footage
9 min 50 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 010 · Eleven-Flower Access Survey
Approach
Recheck the ??? map after Tectonic Movements awards the eleventh flower.
Mechanics
The known flag reenters ???. DOWN and RIGHT from Security 11, RIGHT from the western path, and DOWN from Error remain blocked; the final pause retains 172 completions and eleven flowers.
Attempts
All 32 navigation and survey inputs are retained at 2×. No puzzle was entered or completed, and no undo, restart, explicit wait or death occurred.
Raw footage
2 min 10 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 011 · Map Restart Restoration Test
Approach
Test whether the overworld RESTART option restores the previously transformed parent levels to ordinary numbered nodes.
Mechanics
RESTART executes immediately without a confirmation dialog. The visible Baba and flag, map cursor, and 175-completion/eleven-flower counters stay unchanged; no ordinary09 restoration is observed.
Attempts
All seven inputs are retained at 2×, including the menu selections, one actual menu restart and final pause. No restart hotkey, undo, explicit wait, death or new completion occurred. Fragile’s parent association remains based on the earlier hunts; it was not reselected here.
Raw footage
2 min 25 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 012 · Ordinary-parent LEVEL Control Test
Approach
Construct LEVEL IS OPEN AND YOU in Turn the Corner while removing BABA IS YOU, then test local room control and the unchanged ordinary parent node.
Mechanics
The second compound rock/wall contact works. Local RIGHT moves the room, words and sole Baba together by one tile, with Baba fixed relative to the room. OPEN remains an explicit companion property. Returning to the map shows the same ordinary07; isolated UP leaves the node and selection cursor stationary.
Attempts
All 281 inputs and both planned rock/wall consumptions are retained chronologically at 2×. No undo, restart, explicit wait, uncontrolled Baba loss or new completion occurred. Counters remain 177 with eleven flowers. This is a positive local LEVEL-control observation and a negative bounded ordinary-parent probe; it establishes no new entry or further world.
Raw footage
6 min 54 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 013 · Ordinary-parent Baba Transformation
Approach
Construct LEVEL IS OPEN AND BABA in Turn the Corner while removing BABA IS YOU, then observe the automatic parent return and test the transformed body on clear adjacent land.
Mechanics
Both planned rock/wall consumptions succeed. The final UP forms LEVEL IS OPEN AND BABA and automatically returns to ???, where ordinary 07 becomes Baba at (403,256). Parent rules still include LEVEL IS LEVEL and BABA IS YOU. An isolated UP moves Baba and its selection cursor to (403,232), off the paths, while fixed nodes stay put. OPEN remains an explicit companion property; no internal cause is inferred.
Attempts
All 287 inputs are retained chronologically at 2×, including the known MAP navigation congratulations, 267-direction construction, automatic return and final BEUB observations. No undo, restart, explicit wait, observed controller death or new completion occurred; counters remain 180 with eleven flowers. Three early transition/title samples are qualified and separate settled frames retained. Hunt012’s negative unchanged-parent LEVEL YOU probe remains distinct. No question-node contact, entry or further world is established.
Raw footage
6 min 55 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 014 · Entering Depths
Approach
Use the ordinary-parent Baba created in Hunt013 to approach the isolated question marker with the map rock, preserving the failed primary push before trying the separately audited bypass.
Mechanics
The rock-on08 RIGHT is blocked. A distinct20-direction bypass carries the rock around the lower artwork, then UP consumes the rock and water at475328. Baba crosses the cleared cell. The final RIGHT leaves physical Baba475304 while the selector moves to question499304 and reveals DEPTHS; separate Return enters the new map. Its pause includes SKULL NOT FACING BABA IS YOU, which is not tested in this recording. Hunt013’s OPEN companion remains explicit; earlier cursor/path failures and the ordinary-parent LEVEL YOU negative are unchanged.
Attempts
All33 chronological inputs are retained at2×: resume,10 primary directions,20 bypass directions, explicit Return and final pause. No undo, restart, explicit wait, observed controlled-body loss or new completion; counters stay180 with eleven flowers. The separate Baba-on08 gate is not reached. All1,477.23 original seconds remain allocated, including the long initial analysis pause; only idle thinking is cut from the replay. One65ms non-input gap in that initial idle and one untimestamped invalid sample are disclosed. No automatic entry or physical overlap at the question marker is claimed.
Raw footage
24 min 37 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 015 · Depths cursor access and main-map connection
Approach
Exit unfinished Cleaning Service, test nearby directions on the Depths map, then inspect the MAP flower’s connection to the main map and return.
Mechanics
RIGHT, UP and DOWN at 01 are stationary. Three LEFTs follow the path to the entrance; UP there is stationary. DOWN selects the MAP flower at (259,256); another DOWN and LEFT stay there. Return opens the main map with DEPTHS selected at (67,88), while Baba at (379,112) and the flag at (427,112) remain visible. Another Return reenters Depths at the MAP flower. No physical skull or Baba movement or rule change is observed. The icon is present, but its creation time is not established. RIGHT from the flower is untested.
Attempts
All 15 chronological events are retained at 2×: DE menu exit, six stationary directional tests, path and flower selection, the explicit main-map round trip and final pause at 180 levels and eleven flowers. No undo, restart, explicit wait, observed body death, completion or flower gain occurs. Early samples after events 2, 13 and 14 contain transition masks; separate settled originals are retained. One 66.667 ms non-input cadence gap during the main-map transition and one untimestamped invalid sample remain disclosed. Hunt014’s explicit question entry, Hunt013’s OPEN+BABA transformation and Hunt012’s ordinary-parent LEVEL YOU negative remain distinct.
Raw footage
3 min 54 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 016 · Depths entrance round trip and two access negatives
Approach
Test RIGHT from the Depths MAP flower and LEFT from its entrance, then follow the entrance connection to the earlier parent map and return.
Mechanics
Both isolated directions leave the selector stationary and identified physical sprites unmoved. Explicit Return from the entrance reaches the earlier ??? parent with DEPTHS selected at(499,304); another Return reenters Depths at(259,232). The returned parent shows Baba(403,256), rock(355,328) and water(475,328), restored relative to Hunt014’s later arrangement. The exact intervening restoration transition is unknown. This entrance route differs from Hunt015’s MAP-flower/main-map connection. No parent direction or body-control result was tested.
Attempts
All eleven chronological events ELLLDRULEEB are retained at2×, including both stationary tests, two explicit entrance transitions and the final181/eleven pause. No Undo, restart, explicit wait, observed body death, completion or flower gain occurs. Early images after the two Returns contain transition masks; separate settled originals are retained. All five original family files and the entire analysis interval remain protected.
Raw footage
4 min 33 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 017 · Returning from an erased Cleaning Service
Approach
Reproduce the known LEVEL IS WEAK room erasure, then test the previously unplayed exit branch: inspect the pause menu, return to the parent while the room remains erased, and reenter.
Mechanics
The erased room still offers an ordinary pause menu, with no RULES list. Return to Map leaves completed Cleaning Service01 selected with the same visible parent geometry and181/eleven. A separate Return restores the photographed fresh puzzle inventory. No direction follows reentry; normal exit returns to the same parent. This is a bounded negative for a visible parent change, without establishing a universal persistence or reset rule.
Attempts
All47 chronological events remain at2×, including the repeated34-direction constructor, one whole-room/control-loss failure, usable erased pause, normal exit, fresh reentry and final parent pause. No Undo, restart or explicit wait occurs; displayed Undo/Restart prompts are not executed inputs. No new completion, flower or separate individual Baba death is assigned. Early title cards, transition masks and the blank room before prompts retain separate settled originals. Door-destruction particles and temporary screen displacement, plus movement animation in the predecessor, remain qualified. This new hunt is independently allocated from completion181’s older failure and successful route.
Raw footage
3 min 57 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 018 · First parent RIGHT after an erased child
Approach
Compare one isolated RIGHT from completed Cleaning Service 01 before entry with the first RIGHT after returning from its erased room. Reconstruct the known LEVEL IS WEAK failure, inspect the usable pause, return to the map and test that single parent direction.
Mechanics
Both RIGHT inputs leave completed 01 selected at (331,232), with the same identified parent objects and 181 completions / eleven flowers. The erased-child pause is usable but has no RULES list. The parent remains visibly unchanged before and after its first RIGHT; no child reentry follows. This is a bounded negative for this exact directional test. It does not establish deferred WEAK, universal persistence or reset behavior.
Attempts
All 42 chronological inputs are retained at 2×: resume, matched completed181 baseline RIGHT, fresh entry, 33 known constructor directions, isolated room erasure, inspected pause, ordinary map exit, first parent RIGHT and final pause. One whole-room/control-loss failure is preserved; no separate individual Baba death, Undo, restart, explicit wait, new completion or flower is assigned. Source QA preserves one untimestamped invalid recorder sample and one 68.333 ms startup frame interval that overlaps no input. Early entry/return masks and blank-room samples have separate settled originals; the short door-consumption frame retains movement/destruction particles. The entire original, including removed idle thinking, is exclusively allocated to this hunt.
Raw footage
2 min 48 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 019 · Rock Is Level and Huh? entry
Approach
Extend the ordinary ??? parent sentence to ROCK AND LEVEL IS LEVEL, then approach its rock-derived marker. After the first contact leaves a distant selector on ABC, test two specific margins and rejoin Baba with the independent selector before approaching again.
Mechanics
ROCK IS LEVEL transforms the physical rock into a six-dot marker while LEVEL IS LEVEL and BABA IS YOU remain active. Rejoining on an empty path selects TURN THE CORNER; the next LEFT moves body and selector together. From directly below the marker, isolated UP leaves Baba below but selects HUH?. A separate Return enters LEVEL ???-SECRET: HUH?, with BABA IS YOU and LONELY BABA IS FALL, still 181 completions and eleven flowers. This establishes this particular selection and entry; it does not generalize all LEVEL entry or parent-control behavior.
Attempts
Both full chronological visits are retained at 2×: 153 inputs across two originals, including the initial blocked contact and lower/right margin negatives, rule inspections, rejoining and explicit entry. No Undo, restart, explicit wait, observed death, new completion or flower occurs. All 153 source inputs are covered; both silent captures have clean full decodes, zero invalid/error samples and no source interval over 50 ms. Entry title-card and settled fresh-puzzle images are separately timed. All 966.035 seconds of original footage, including edited idle thinking, are exclusively allocated; no Huh? puzzle move belongs to this hunt.
Raw footage
16 min 6 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 020 · Water Is Level and Getting Together entry
Approach
Test whether the restored gold Huh? rock pushes with its selector, then carry AND and the complete WATER IS SINK sentence across the ordinary ??? parent to form WATER IS SINK AND LEVEL. Remove ROCK PUSH, rejoin Baba with the selector on the rock, and approach the new water-derived marker.
Mechanics
The isolated final word-train RIGHT forms WATER IS LEVEL alongside WATER IS SINK and changes water (475,328) into a six-dot marker. After lifting the upper IS to remove ROCK PUSH, Baba overlaps the gold rock and selector; the title becomes TURN THE CORNER and the next DOWN moves body and selector together. From below the new marker, isolated UP leaves Baba (475,352) but selects GETTING TOGETHER at (475,328). Separate Return enters the new hidden puzzle, paused at 182 completions and eleven flowers with no interior move. This verifies these particular transformations, contacts and entry, without assigning hidden object identities or a universal conversion order.
Attempts
All 154 chronological inputs from two visits are retained at 2×, including the initial ineffective Return and menu navigation, subsequent correct resume, rule pauses and explicit entry. No Undo, restart, game wait, observed death, completion or flower occurs. All inputs have source coverage and both silent originals decode fully. Part1 retains six untimestamped invalid samples and a 235 ms startup interval that intersects no input; part2 has neither invalid samples nor intervals over 50 ms. Seven images captured from the live source differ in animation pixels from the same requested finalized seeks and remain separate evidence; the replay uses finalized source frames. All 733.46 original seconds, including edited idle thinking, remain exclusively allocated.
Raw footage
12 min 13 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 021 · Getting Together’s new white path
Approach
Follow the new white path that appeared after Getting Together: DOWN, DOWN, RIGHT, then inspect the untitled endpoint with separate RIGHT, UP, DOWN and Return inputs.
Mechanics
The three path steps move the selector to (475,352), (475,376) and (499,376), while Baba moves separately to (403,280), (403,304) and (427,304). The endpoint has no title. RIGHT, UP, DOWN and Return leave both stationary, with no entry or count change at 183 completions and eleven flowers. This bounded result leaves the path’s future use unresolved.
Attempts
All nine chronological inputs are retained at 2×: resume, three successful path steps, four isolated stationary endpoint probes and final pause. No Undo, restart, explicit wait, death, completion, flower gain or transformation. One recording heartbeat wait and all idle analysis remain in the full protected original; only idle gaps are cut from the export.
Raw footage
5 min 53 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 022 · Completed objects clear the Depths approach
Approach
Rejoin Baba and the detached selector at the new path endpoint, verify following, then carry the completed gold Huh rock around the ordinary nodes toward the completed blue Getting Together object.
Mechanics
The completed gold and blue objects disappear together on contact, clearing the west approach to the question. Baba stays at (475,304) while the selector moves to (499,304) and displays DEPTHS; a separate Return enters. UP and DOWN from completed Cleaning Service 01 are stationary, with 183 completions and eleven flowers unchanged. These are specific observed contacts and access negatives, without a universal restoration or control claim.
Attempts
All 55 chronological inputs are retained at 2×, including every rejoin/contact checkpoint, Depths entry, the route to completed 01 and both isolated directional probes. No Undo, restart, explicit wait, death, new completion or flower. One bounded recording heartbeat wait and all idle analysis remain in the complete protected original.
Raw footage
5 min 20 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 023 · Upper map boundary
Approach
Leave Depths through its entrance, inspect the restored parent, then move Baba eight UP and eleven LEFT to the upper row before a separate UP probe.
Mechanics
This particular Depths visit and return restores Baba at (403,256), completed gold Huh at (355,328) and completed blue Getting Together at (475,328). At (139,64), the isolated UP changes Baba’s facing but leaves its position unchanged. The detached selector remains on DEPTHS at (499,304), with 183 completions and eleven flowers unchanged. No DUST displacement or broader boundary theorem is established.
Attempts
All 26 chronological inputs are retained at 2×, including the return/restoration, clear approach and stationary boundary test. No Undo, restart, explicit wait, observed death, new completion or flower. One untimestamped invalid sample and one brief frame interval during non-input footage are retained as recording qualifications; every input has complete source coverage.
Raw footage
3 min 5 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
Secret hunt 024 · Temple and Lake at eleven flowers
Approach
Return through Depths, reanchor the main-map selector via the known flag, then inspect Temple Ruins and The Lake at eleven flowers.
Mechanics
Temple remains 10/6 with its nine ordinary levels and one extra completed; Lake remains 15/8 with its thirteen ordinary levels and two extras completed. No new visible marker or path appears in this bounded refresh. The recorded known MAP return leaves 183 completions and eleven flowers unchanged. Physical Baba and the map selector are tracked separately. The existing MAP nodes now display flowers where older nine-flower screenshots showed circle graphics; those are the same known nodes.
Attempts
All 40 chronological inputs and the final Lake pause are retained at 2×. The complete original includes the extended stationary reading interval. No Undo, restart, explicit wait, death or new completion; this survey does not establish that all hidden content is found.
Raw footage
12 min 57 s captured before editing or speed changes, including pauses and menus.
