Resolve conflicts in this order unless the project documents a reason to differ:

chapter reading order and reveal chronology
identity, gender, and pronoun ledger
character/narrator voice guide
approved names and terminology
writing-system and wordplay decisions
title-specific grammar guide
current target-language draft.

The draft is evidence of previous work and remains editable. It cannot override the source.

Global rules

Identity, pronouns, and speech axes

Do not infer identity from speech style. A male character can use feminine self-reference or endings. A woman can use rough masculine forms. Record identity and speech facts separately.
