Sunday, September 27
I’ll resume from the healed five-badge save, start recording before gameplay, and work through to Serra. I’ll prepare the roster and route along the way, then save, quit, and finish the Gym 6 archive.
Recording is running. I’m taking the Wasteland exit route first, with Cain’s team checked in advance. Afterward I’ll use the new level cap and Strength access to prepare for the longer Yureyu section.
I’m resolving the Wasteland’s one-way exits before queuing the return trip. The navigation helper needs a few explicit slide connections here; I’m recording those so we won’t have to rediscover them later.
The return route is clear now. I’m putting Swampert in front for Cain’s Alolan Marowak, with Drapion reserved for Meowstic and Nidoqueen for Muk.
I’m continuing toward Serra with Klinklang and Ampharos as the main planned additions. First I’m clearing the Wasteland exit battle, then I’ll use the city stop to prepare for the Yureyu route and Serra’s Ice team.
Cain’s Marowak is down without damage. His rain-boosted Primarina hit harder than expected even after Calm Mind, so I’m treating it as the immediate threat rather than trying to build more boosts.
Cain’s Primarina and Meowstic are down; Nidoqueen is handling his remaining Poison types. For Klink, I’ll use the level-32 encounters at Shade’s power plant, which should substantially reduce the training needed before Serra.
Cain is defeated. I’m heading to the Pokémon Center and preparing the next stretch; the main lesson from that fight is that our level-45 team needs both more levels and reliable coverage before the next bosses.
Cal’s scene is complete and Strength is now confirmed in the bag. I’m making the city visit do several jobs at once: healing, catching Klink, bringing Ampharos back into the party, and stocking supplies before leaving for Yureyu.
Ampharos is back in the party, with Cryogonal resting in the PC for now. I’m checking the current Grand Hall training rewards so I can prepare the new additions efficiently before the story battles.
Fawkes is a good training match today: Arcanine cleanly handles Doublade, Swampert covers Typhlosion, and Ampharos can handle Greninja. The upgraded reward is five Large Exp. Candies per win, so this should make the roster preparation much faster.
The first training win is secured. I’ll use its candies to bring Ampharos and Swampert closer to the cap, then run a short repeatable training sequence and set aside enough candies for Klink’s evolution plan.
I’ve also checked the upcoming boss details. For Yureyu, I’ll decline Sigmund’s battle and fight Sirius; his Chandelure carries Energy Ball, so Swampert won’t be my answer to it. For Serra, Drapion’s Keen Eye and Klink’s boosted, never-miss Mirror Shot give us useful ways to handle her evasion tactics.
Swampert has reached the level-50 cap, and Ampharos is catching up quickly. I’ve queued the remaining training battles and checked the three correct mirrors for Serra’s gym, so the puzzle route is ready before we arrive.
The training block is finished: Swampert and Ampharos are at level 50, and I’m bringing Arcanine and Drapion up next. I’ve kept the remaining candies for Klink and Cryogonal, so we can move on without more grinding.
Supplies are stocked: 20 Super Potions, 13 Super Repels, and 26 Poké Balls. The team and training gains are saved, and the long route to the power plant is running now. I’ll rotate the recording around the hour mark.
We’re at the power plant now. I’ll catch a level-32 Klink, teach it Shift Gear before evolving it, and then head straight back toward the Railnet and Yureyu.
The catch search is underway; so far we’ve encountered Voltorb, which I’m fleeing automatically. Klink has a 25% encounter slot here. The recording is still running, and I’m preserving the battle timings for the soundtrack reconstruction.
The first Klink escaped after I selected the wrong battle command following a failed ball. I’ve corrected the helper to verify the cursor before opening the bag. I’ll finish this bounded search, then pause to finalize the first recording segment.
I’ll teach Strength to Nidoqueen in place of Body Slam for the Railnet puzzle. That keeps the team’s main attacks intact and avoids needing a separate utility Pokémon.
I’ve paused gameplay and stopped the first recording at about 65 minutes. I’m trimming and exporting it at 4× speed, then adding the normal-speed area and battle music before restarting capture.
I found a recording failure: macOS stopped the capture stream after 57 seconds, but the recorder process stayed alive and hid the problem. The game is paused while I add live frame checks so this cannot fail silently again. Most of this session’s footage is missing; the saved game progress is intact.
Capture is running again and has passed the point where the previous stream failed. Every input now requires a fresh recorded frame, and a capture error stops held keys immediately. I’m continuing toward Serra with that safeguard active; the earlier footage gap is documented.
Klink is caught, and that catch brought Drapion to level 50 as well. I’m now completing Klink’s move and evolution sequence, then returning to heal and begin the Yureyu rescue.
Klinklang now has Clear Body and Shift Gear. I caught a move-slot mistake during verification: Gear Grind was replaced, so I’ll restore it through the Move Relearner after obtaining the Railnet House Key. Mirror Shot and Discharge are ready for the route battles.
Klinklang is ready at level 50. I’m finishing Strength setup, then heading through Yureyu; the Railnet House Key is a priority so I can restore Gear Grind before Serra.
The route ahead has two useful checkpoints: Cain will help with the Yureyu battles, and the House Key unlocks move relearning afterward. The repaired recorder is still delivering fresh frames, and gameplay inputs now stop automatically if capture stalls.
Strength is taught and the team is healed. I’ve also found the direct Railnet approach: two pushes open the way north, avoiding an unnecessary trip through the lower boulder puzzle.
We’re crossing back to Obsidia now. For Yureyu I’ll use Arcanine for the early grunts, then adjust for Sirius’s Rock-types and Chandelure. I’ll refuse Sigmund’s battle to keep the optional postgame route available.
The long city route is running as a queue, with automatic handling for Repel renewals. Once we’re inside Yureyu, the remaining preparation is much more compact.
A moving NPC interrupted the city queue, so I’m correcting that position and resuming. The team and recording are fine.
That NPC turned out to be a trainer; Drapion won without trouble. Battle turbo is now enabled, while walking remains at normal speed for reliable route execution.
I’ve checked the later Railnet puzzle too, including the hidden room with the House Key. That lets us finish the move repairs before leaving the city instead of backtracking from Serra’s gym.
We’re at the Yureyu access tunnel. Strength is working, and the northern boulder route is open; next is Cain’s team-up and the climb through the building.
Cain is here, and we’ve reached the building entrance. I’m putting Arcanine in front for the initial fights; the rest of the team is available for the matchups farther upstairs.
The team is through the access tunnel. I’m checking the building’s actual encounters as we climb, while using the walkthrough and game data to prepare the upcoming fights.
We’re climbing Yureyu now. Arcanine is leading at full health, and Cain’s party gives us support for the doubles fights.
The first doubles fight is underway against Quilladin and Whirlipede. Arcanine’s Flamethrower is the straightforward answer here, with Cain covering the other side.
First pair beaten. Nidoqueen also reached the level-50 cap. Arcanine handled the Grass, Bug, and Steel targets as planned.
The second pair has Emboar, Minior, and Samurott behind its opening Pokémon. I’m removing Emolga first, then bringing in Swampert so the remaining Fire and Rock threats don’t pin Arcanine down.
Second pair beaten. Swampert cleared Emboar and Minior together, and the team finished Samurott. I’m opening the next floor gate and continuing upward.
The gate is open and we’re moving into the story encounters on the upper floors. Cain is restoring the party between fights, so we’re keeping our healing supplies for the later route and gym.
Shelly is accounted for; we’re continuing to the others. The next fight is Simon and Tara, followed by the remaining upper-floor guards and the Sigmund decision.
The upper-floor teams are mapped out. I’ll use Fire attacks on their Bug and Grass leads, then switch to Water or Dark coverage as the Ground, Rock, and Ghost Pokémon come out.
Simon and Tara’s opening pair is down. Swampert is coming in against Mudsdale and Onix, which should let us clear both with spread Water damage.
Only Simon’s Muk remains in this fight. Swampert is still in control, and Cain has brought out his own Muk to finish alongside it.
Simon and Tara are defeated. We’re through their follow-up scene, then it’s the last guard pair before the choice at Sigmund’s floor.
The next gate is still locked. Charlotte has gone back for Shelly, so I’m following that story step before trying the upper stairs again.
The Shelly rescue leads into Golbat and Toxapex. Ampharos is a strong fit here: Discharge hits both opponents super effectively, and Cain’s Nidoking is immune to the spread attack.
Ampharos cleared the opening threats. The reinforcements are Tsareena and Gigalith, so I’m removing Tsareena with Arcanine before using Water coverage against Gigalith.
The rescue fight is won. Arcanine took down Tsareena but fell to Gigalith; Swampert finished it, and Cain’s between-battle healing will restore the team.
Shelly is rescued, and I’ve saved that checkpoint after the four battles. The team is fully restored; next are the final guards, then Sirius.
We’ve reached the last guard pair’s scene. Their team starts with two Bugs, then shifts to Lunatone, Solrock, Passimian, and Sandygast; I have the switches planned for those.
The Bugs are down, though Lunatone knocked out Arcanine. Swampert is in for the Rock-types; after that I’ll handle Sandygast with Dark coverage rather than leave Swampert exposed to Giga Drain.
Cain removed Sandygast while Drapion switched in, so Swampert avoided that risk entirely. Only Passimian remains; afterward we’ll take the final stairs and handle Sigmund’s choice carefully.
The last guards are beaten. I’m letting the rescue scene finish, then putting Swampert first for Sirius’s Minior and Tyrantrum.
We’re at Sigmund’s floor. I’m advancing this conversation one prompt at a time so the refusal is explicit and doesn’t get skipped by a dialogue queue.
I selected No to Sigmund’s battle. That preserves the route we want. I’ll save this decision and rotate the recording before taking on Sirius.
The saved file confirms Sigmund was refused. This recording segment closed cleanly with the full 54 minutes captured—no gap detected. I’m trimming and speeding up that segment before starting the next recording.
The segment is trimmed to about 9½ minutes at 4×, and the next recording is running. I’m adding its normal-speed area and battle music while we continue toward Sirius.
The previous segment’s music export is verified. Sirius’s conversation is underway; Swampert will lead, with Drapion and Arcanine reserved for Chandelure’s Energy Ball threat.
Minior is down, and Sirius sent Chandelure in immediately. I’m switching Swampert out now; Arcanine resists Energy Ball and is immune to Heat Wave.
Chandelure and Tyrantrum are both weakened. Arcanine absorbed the Energy Ball switch but is low now, so Drapion is taking over to threaten Chandelure with Night Slash.
Chandelure is down. Swampert is back against Manectric and Tyrantrum, where its Electric immunity and Water damage are useful again.
Tyrantrum is down. Swampert has taken enough damage, so Nidoqueen is coming in fresh; Earth Power gives us strong coverage against both Manectric and Seviper.
Manectric is down; Seviper is Sirius’s last Pokémon. Nidoqueen fell to Aqua Tail after landing Earth Power, so I’m finishing with our healthy Ampharos.
Sirius is defeated on the first attempt. The team switches paid off, especially getting Swampert away from Chandelure. Next is the escape scene, then the Railnet key and move repairs.
The group is escaping Yureyu now. I’m heading straight for the House Key afterward; restoring Gear Grind is the most important remaining roster fix before Serra.
Yureyu is cleared and the Railnet door is open. I’m collecting the House Key first, then making the planned short trip to the Move Relearner before continuing east.
The wall hiding the House Key is open. I’m collecting it and returning through Obsidia to Onyx; after Gear Grind is restored, we can finish the Railnet puzzle and head toward Spinel.
The House Key is collected. The Strength boulder reset when we left its map, so I’m reopening the return passage before continuing the city queue.
The return passage is open again, and the city route is queued. The key will give us the Heart Scale needed for Gear Grind; I’m also checking the relearner’s other options for future team changes.
I found an extra hidden Heart Scale in Obsidia as well. If it’s still uncollected, we can use it for Arcanine’s Extreme Speed while we’re already making the relearner trip.
We’re at the Move Relearner’s house. She’s pacing outside rather than standing at her initial map position, so I’m adjusting the interaction to her current location.
The key is returned and the relearner is unlocked. I’m using the reward Heart Scale on Klinklang’s Gear Grind, keeping Mirror Shot and Shift Gear for Serra’s field.
Gear Grind is restored. I’m collecting the extra Heart Scale and visiting the PC next so Cryogonal can rejoin the gym team and learn Freeze-Dry.
The second Heart Scale was still there, so Extreme Speed is available too. I’m making the PC swap now; Rock Smash stays on Drapion, and the route ahead doesn’t require another Strength carrier.
The PC swap is in progress. Cryogonal will replace Nidoqueen for the gym, giving us a dedicated Lapras answer while Klinklang handles the Steel offense.
Cryogonal is in the party now. I’m finishing Nidoqueen’s deposit and recovering its Exp. Share, then applying the saved candies and the final move changes.
Cryogonal is now level 49. Freeze-Dry will replace Icy Wind, while Ice Beam, Recover, and Light Screen stay available.
Cryogonal has Freeze-Dry and the Exp. Share, so it can pick up the last level naturally. I’m teaching Arcanine Extreme Speed next, then we’re done with city preparation.
One travel correction: the return tunnel’s boulder resets, so Nidoqueen still needs to accompany us through Railnet. Cryogonal’s training is finished; I’ll make its final party swap at Spinel’s PC.
Arcanine is at the relearner now. I also found a cleaner travel solution: Strength can take Drapion’s Cut slot temporarily, since both field moves can be retaught freely. That lets Cryogonal stay in the party.
Extreme Speed is learned. I’m finishing Strength on Drapion, then verifying the six movesets and saving the completed preparation before the longer eastbound route.
Preparation is saved and verified: Gear Grind, Extreme Speed, Freeze-Dry, and Drapion’s Strength are all correct. We have eight Super Repels and twenty Super Potions, with the whole team healed. Heading east now.
The eastbound city route is running. I’ve scripted the nine required Railnet switch settings, with Noel’s in-game path check serving as the final validation.
Drapion has reopened the tunnel successfully. We’re back at Railnet; I’m now executing the planned switch sequence before asking Noel to check the tracks.
The track switches are being set from north to south. Afterward I’ll board the train to gather the group, have Noel validate the route, and start the ride out.
Most of the Railnet switches are set, and the queued route is working smoothly. The final three are near the train, so we’re close to leaving the city behind.
All required switch settings are in place. I’m completing the train discovery conversation so Noel can inspect the route, then we can depart.
Shelly’s train plan is underway. While that scene runs, I’m mapping the forest’s changing paths so we can traverse it in longer, deliberate sections afterward.
The group is aboard, and Noel is ready to check the track layout. The forest route is also planned: eight path changes followed by the exit to Spinel.
Noel confirmed the route is correct, and the train is departing. I’m keeping the full ride sequence in the recording before continuing through Tanzan.
The train ride is finished. I’ve marked its automatic animation to stay in the archive, so the idle trimmer won’t remove it. We’re stepping out into Chrysolia next.
The Railnet route is clear and the team is prepared. I’m heading through Tanzan and Spinel, then tackling Bennett and Serra for badge six.
The train ride is finished, and we’ve reached Tanzan. I’m closing this recording segment, then visiting the Belrose house before the forest route to Spinel.
The next major fights are fully scouted. Swampert covers Bennett’s opening Larvesta; Arcanine and Ampharos handle his moths. For Serra, Klinklang provides Steel attacks, Cryogonal covers Lapras, and Drapion is reserved for Froslass’s evasion tactics.
We’re at the Belrose house. The Railnet recording has been trimmed, given its normal-speed soundtrack, and verified; the new segment is recording normally.
We’ve collected the Family Picture for a later quest and spoken with Shelly. Next is the forest’s changing-path puzzle; I have the full sequence mapped out so we can traverse it in longer runs.
The team is healthy, with seven Super Repels and twenty Super Potions in reserve. I’m keeping Swampert in front for travel and saving the specialized matchups for the gym.
The forest route has reached its first trainer. The route script correctly paused at the battle, so I’ll clear it and resume from the same puzzle stage.
Elizabeth is beaten without damage to the team. I’m resuming the forest sequence; the next trainer’s Mimikyu is accounted for as well.
Mimikyu took Swampert down before it could finish the fight. I’ve brought in Klinklang to close it with Gear Grind; we’ll heal at Spinel before entering the gym.
Both forest trainers are beaten. One changed path isn’t matching the planned map, so I’m checking that obstruction before continuing the queued route.
The obstruction was Elizabeth’s new position after approaching us for battle. I’ve corrected the route map, and the forest sequence is moving forward again.
The forest puzzle is solved. We’re at the Spinel exit now; I’ll heal, trigger the town’s shop-and-gym scene, then use the correct mirrors to reach Bennett and Serra.
The team is healed in Spinel. I’m working through the town’s disappearing-object events to open the estate, then it’s straight into the gym challenge.
The estate is opening. I’ll speak with Bennett before Serra’s introduction, then clear the mirror rooms without breaking the battle field.
Bennett’s introduction is complete, including his optional conversation. Serra’s setup scene is next; the mirror solutions and both battle teams are already checked against this installed version.
Serra’s introduction is still playing through. The recording remains healthy; once the scene ends, I’ll switch Arcanine into the lead for the gym trainers.
We’re inside the gym with Arcanine leading. The direct route avoids the optional trainers, so I’m taking the correct mirrors and preserving the team for Bennett and Serra.
Bennett’s battle has started. I’m using Swampert for Larvesta’s fourfold Rock weakness, then switching to the prepared answers for his remaining team.
Larvesta and Dustox are down. Bennett has brought out Masquerain, so Ampharos is taking over with Power Gem; it also covers his remaining Bug/Flying Pokémon.
Masquerain is down, and Cryogonal has reached level 50. Ampharos took a heavy hit, so I’m keeping it out of danger and bringing in Klinklang’s physical attacks against Venomoth’s Quiver Dance boosts.
Venomoth is down. Klinklang fought through Sleep Powder and finished it with Gear Grind; I’m switching it out now and saving it for Serra after a full heal.
Bennett is down to Butterfree. Cryogonal is taking this one with Ice Beam, which benefits from the mirror field. Afterward I’ll restore the whole team before Serra.
Bennett is beaten on the first attempt. I’m returning to the nearby Pokémon Center, then coming back with Klinklang leading and all six Pokémon restored for Serra.
Everyone is healed. One correction to the Lapras plan: its Ice typing cancels Freeze-Dry’s usual advantage against Water, so Ampharos will be the primary answer there. Klinklang and Drapion remain the key pieces for Serra’s other threats.
I’m on the final approach to Serra. Klinklang will open with Shift Gear into Steel attacks, with Arcanine ready for Sandslash and Drapion kept fresh for Froslass.
Serra’s battle is underway, with all six Pokémon at full health. I’m checking her opening response before committing Klinklang’s boosted attacks.
The opening went badly: Gear Grind missed, and Glaceon froze Arcanine. I’m restarting from the pre-battle save and opening with the mirror field’s guaranteed-hit Mirror Shot instead.
The revised opening worked: Glaceon is down and Klinklang is untouched. Serra sent Jynx next, so Arcanine is coming in to avoid risking Klinklang against Focus Blast.
Jynx is down. Ampharos is now handling Lapras; Arcanine has taken damage, so I’m watching for a safe chance to restore it before Sandslash.
Lapras is proving durable. Cryogonal is absorbing its attacks and using Recover, which gives us room to restore Arcanine while keeping Drapion untouched for the final matchup.
Arcanine is restored enough for Sandslash, and Cryogonal has recovered safely. I’m finishing Lapras now; Klinklang, Swampert, and Drapion are still at full health.
Serra used a Hyper Potion on Lapras. Cryogonal is still holding the matchup, so I’m queuing a health-aware Recover/Freeze-Dry sequence to finish it without repeated manual pauses.
The recovery sequence is working, and Serra has spent more healing items on Lapras. Cryogonal is still standing; the other five are available for the remaining three Pokémon.
Lapras is down to its last sliver of health, and Serra’s healing items are exhausted. I’m finishing it, then moving to the remaining matchups.
Lapras is finally down. Serra has sent Ninetales next; Klinklang is still at full health and will use guaranteed-hit Mirror Shot against its fourfold Steel weakness.
Ninetales is down. Arcanine is facing Sandslash now, and Drapion is ready for Froslass with Keen Eye to bypass its evasion boosts.
Serra is beaten! Drapion survived Froslass’s critical Ice Beam with 2 HP and finished it with Night Slash. I’m collecting the badge, then healing, saving, quitting, and finishing the Gym 6 recording.
The Rime Badge and Aurora Veil TM are collected. I’m clearing the closing scene and heading to the Pokémon Center for the final save and quit.
The final save confirms six badges, and all six Pokémon are fully healed at Spinel’s Pokémon Center. Gameplay recording is stopped; I’m closing the game and finishing the trimmed, 4× archive with its soundtrack.
The game is closed, and the six-badge save is verified. The final recording has exported successfully; I’m adding the battle music and checking the stitched video. The earlier session-035 recording gap remains documented.
The final save also has a verified backup. The soundtrack render passed its audio/video check; I’m correcting one scene-transition cue, then stitching the Gym 6 segments into the finished archive.
The Gym 6 archive is stitched and verified: about 30 minutes at 4× speed, with normal-speed music. I’m doing the final visual check for clean game-only framing; the game remains closed.
Serra defeated—sixth badge secured. The team is healed, the save is backed up, and the game is closed.
Gym 6 recording: 30:22, trimmed, game-only, 4× speed with normal-speed OST. Verified; the previously reported early recording gap remains documented.
