Task 19

Sunday, October 4
I’ll resume from the verified Hardy checkpoint, prepare the puzzle and battle, and start recording before loading the save. I’ll check current usage as I go and leave enough time to save, quit, and finish the video edits.
Usage is currently 11% used. Session 137 is recording, Aster’s save is loaded, and the guarded piano queue is running. Disk space is down to about 1.9 GiB, so I’ll keep captures short and process them before they accumulate.
The piano helper has verified its first tuner moves from the visible game screen. It checks each tuner’s position before continuing. The Hardy team and supplies are already prepared; the next battle step is the two X Defends followed by a guarded Trick Room setup.
The recorder briefly restarted during the third tuner, so the helper stopped as designed. The visible endpoint shows that tuner reached its target. I’ll verify it with a normal save and add a guarded continuation from the next untouched tuner, preserving the completed moves.
That gives us useful headroom for recording and exports. The fresh save confirms all three completed tuners have the correct positions and values; the continuation is now working through the remaining five.
Five tuners are now verified at their targets, and the continuation is still progressing. Available disk space now reads about 22 GiB. After the puzzle, I’ll save at Hardy’s arena and check actual HP and Defense before each setup turn.
The sixth tuner’s check was blocked by the player sprite covering part of the tile. I changed the approach to inspect it from above; the vertical interaction is now verified, with the tuner correctly left in place. Two tuners remain before the climb and door check.
All eight tuners now match the required notes. The helper is returning to the Rock Climb start, then will verify the open door and stop inside Hardy’s arena. I’m also adding support for his player-touch trigger so the attempt and music records begin before battle entry.
The normal save confirms the puzzle is solved: all eight values are correct and the door-open flag is set. The door is visibly open too. I corrected the helper’s final approach tile and am entering the arena without repeating the climb.
Hardy attempt 1 is underway, with the exact entry team recorded. Cofagrigus and Swampert will each use X Defend first. I’ll inspect their own HP and stats before selecting the next turn; critical hits or Defense drops can change the plan.
The battle has not advanced past the opening choices. I found that this version’s Q inspection returns the second Pokémon to the first Pokémon’s command, canceling the earlier choice. I’m adapting the queue to inspect both allies before committing their actions, so it preserves the intended turn.
Hardy’s opening turn is complete. Both allies gained Defense boosts; I’m checking the Trick Room turn before choosing the next heal and attack boost.
Cofagrigus fainted before Trick Room took effect. I’m bringing in Mienshao to block Rock Slide with Wide Guard while Swampert sets up; the full recording retains this attempt.
I’ll finish this Hardy attempt, then save and quit, edit and verify the recording, and stop the session for your permission changes.
Hardy switched Gigalith for Archeops and knocked out Mienshao with Aerial Ace. Swampert is fully healed; I’m using Klinklang as the next support while preparing Waterfall.
The attempt is still active. Some menu text is being misread by OCR, so I’ve added enlarged reads of the same game pixels while keeping the actor, opponent, and recording checks.
Swampert’s Attack boost is in place. I’m checking both allies’ remaining HP, then targeting the flying threats with Waterfall.
Mega Aerodactyl is down. I’m targeting Archeops next while managing the allies’ HP. Once this attempt ends, I’ll move directly to saving, quitting, and archive cleanup.
The battle has reached Hardy’s Lycanroc. I’m keeping Swampert’s boosted attacks going and using the remaining team for support and recovery.
Archeops is down too. Excadrill has joined Swampert, and this turn targets Rampardos while healing Swampert.
Rampardos is down. I’m reviving Mienshao for the final stretch; Gigalith and both Lycanroc forms remain.
Midday Lycanroc is down, and Mienshao has been revived. Gigalith and Dusk Lycanroc are the last two opponents.
Swampert is attacking Gigalith now. If it lands, only Dusk Lycanroc remains; I’m preparing the final heal-and-attack turn.
Hardy is defeated on the first attempt. I’ll collect and verify the badge, save and quit, then finish the journey and major-fight edits.
The Geode Badge and level cap 95 have been awarded. I’m finishing Hardy’s dialogue, then saving at the arena before quitting.
The game is saved and fully quit with 17 badges. I’m trimming recorded menu pauses, restoring normal-speed music, and verifying both video exports. The item totals are 6 Ultra Potions, 3 X Defends, 1 X Attack, and 1 Revival Herb.
The session edit is about five minutes at 4× speed. I’ve reviewed the battle pause cuts and am checking the encoded edit, the join to the existing journey, and the new Hardy roster panel.
The edit preserves the puzzle, full Hardy battle, victory, and badge reward. I’m finishing the completed Gym 17 movie and adding Hardy to the major-fight compilation. The game is already saved and closed.
Gym 17 is now complete, and its existing video prefix passed an exact encoded-frame comparison. Hardy’s roster panel shows one attempt and the verified item totals. I’m checking the final compilation joins before cleaning up this session’s temporary recordings.
Hardy’s clip passed the visual checks from the VS intro through the victory. The save matches both backups, and Reborn and the recorder are confirmed closed. Only the compilation’s final decode check and handoff update remain.
The remaining step is the full decode of the hour-long compilation. The visual checks and save/quit checks have passed. Once the decode finishes, I’ll update the handoff and stop so you can change permissions.
Both movies are published and passed full decoding, join checks, and encoded-prefix preservation checks. I’m removing the verified temporary media and updating the private handoff. The session will remain stopped.
Hardy defeated on the first attempt—17 badges, cap 95. The game is saved and fully quit.
Both recordings are edited and verified:
- Completed Gym 17 journey
- 42-fight compilation
Handoff committed and pushed. Session stopped so you can change permissions.
